Quick question. In the VFR chart I can see the altitude number of a mountain. But is that in MSL or AGL? And how do I know if after flying over 400ft I won't be entering any controlled airspace if if there is no airspace showing in the chart?

Heyo! I have a question for ya. I got Phantom 3 Standard and I don't know what should I do cause when I joined the part of "Recreational Flyers" I saw a requeriment that say "Pass aeronautical test" and I dont know. I'd like to fly only for recreational purposes

A couple of months ago (May) a new law went into effect (H.R. 302, the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018), making a new test for recreational pilots mandatory, in addition to the LAANCE system. The LAANCE system will be used to obtain "instant" authorization from the FAA to fly in certain Airspaces. The new test has not been setup yet, but will be required in the near future, even for recreational pilots. The information for that can be found by googling "uas recreational_fliers"; it will be the FAA gov website. Also note, my favorite two apps for "LAANCE" authorization are Kittyhawk and AirMap. They also provide weather, wind and visibility information to aid your decision to fly that day!
