Awesome video as always Nathan it's great to see such a varied selection of bikes, shame BM dropped those 650s from the range, I agree with what you said between the 800s n the 1200 manageability wise I had the 1200 first n then the 800 n thought that to with where the 1200 holds its weight. Stunning scenery down your way that's for sure :) those Mosko moto's looked great on the Himmy.

The best adventure bike is whatever bike's sitting in your garage. I have a RE Bullet 350 and a Honda CG125. I also used to have a Honda Cub C70 EX3.

Great video Nathan, excellent variety of bikes .. particularly good to see the RE classics, the original simple go anywhere bikes for me. Really looking forward to the Devon Dakar next weekend. I'll be down on the Himalayan 🙂 .. keep that sun shining for us

Just shows that you don’t need cc’s or horse power to create a touring/adventure bike. 24 could be enough or even as low as 12 for a new Cub.

Cracking video and interesting to hear your thoughts on the different bikes. What would your choice be between an older bmw f650 or an almost new Himalayan? Looking for a commuter/mini tourer for about £3.5k to sit alongside my RE classic 500 and both seem to fit my needs. Any input would be appreciated.

That's a good question. I did own a f650gs briefly and sold it after a short while as I just found it a bit too heavy, softly sprung and uninspiring. But they're a good solid bike with more grunt than a Himalayan so better for the motorway but not as manageble on the trails as the Himalayan. Personally I'd go newer Himalayan but if you can pick up a good cheap f650 then you can't go wrong

@@nathanthepostman thank you, really appreciate your opinion. The Himalayan was the way I was leaning before and you’ve just confirmed what I was thinking. Cheers 👍👍

I hate these marketing categories. And what on earth is having an adventure? I'll have the 790 Adventure. Even better, an R. They still do them for Asian markets which are not concerned with EU emissions nonsense. 4:48 dirty Crocs. What's he trodden in? The Harley seems out of place, but in a good way, and why not?
