Just wanna say thank you for making this video. My first icma's opened yesterday and I'm planning on starting them tomorrow. I've been quite worried about them as I wasn't really sure what to expect and this has put my mind at rest.

Louise Hector glad you found the video helpful! The ICMAs are pretty straightforward, if you can’t do a question just leave it for another day, just remember to submit it before the deadline

what kinds of exams are those no time limit, can open your notes, internet book.

Yes they are pretty relaxed but they’re more aimed at making sure you understand the section correctly, they also aren’t typically worth much towards your overall assessment mark for the module.

Please can you explain how to answer writing full denominator as I am trying to right denominator and It’s coming to only one figure fraction.. please help me? I want to right denominator to algebraic equation? Hope I make sense I am really stressed

If I understand what you're asking you need to put the whole denominator in brackets e.g 1/(a + b)

Tom Wagstaff I mean how to write denominator for the whole equation as I am writing and it’s appearing only last digit e.g 1+3/4 but I want to write 4 as the whole denominator...hope I make sense

fM 2627 so if you were to put 1+3/4 it would should the 3/4 as the only fraction? If so then put the whole numerator in brackets (1+3)/4

Glad they have been helpful! i have done a maths exam but it was multiple choice so not much writing apart from some working out. I don't know for certain but I believe most exams are 3 hours and you are assigned to somewhere fairly close to where you live which is helpful.
