My ex boyfriend deams me as an unfit mother. The father does not communicate with me at all he threatens to strip me of all my parential rights. I do not have any of that. My spouse does not communicate with me on a mature level. Always throws the past at me. Never lets me see our talk to our children by video or by phone (only if I do not call or make her upset in any way) as she is in another state. She took the kids and fled. No abuse of any kind from me. I also have a child from my first marriage that I'm the sole custodial parent. My spouse Is emotionally immature, uncooperative, doesn't want me to have my time with our children whatsoever and I don't know what I can really do. She never sends pics or anything and if I make her mad in any way she keeps me from the children and from talking with her. Blocking my phone number and social media. She gives me bare seconds to 1 minute every so often with the kids. She will make up every excuse in the book why they're unable to talk with me by phone or video. It's been like this for 14 months. I've filed for divorce already and I need help proving I'm a better parent for the children and will 100% cooperate with the mother and law should I have custodial conservativeship. I love our children very much as a father but she lacks emotional, verbal, nurturing care and other forms of being a mother. I'm practically alienated from our children.

@@TamikaWoodard1029 well I won by getting through to my ex wife what’s right and wrong. What’s mature and immature. Many days of arguing and getting my point across. Today I get talk to our kids daily, we respect each other more than we had over a year ago. We co-parent well and agree on things. Yes we have disagreements but we talk as adults. We do not argue. We have learned to get along, support our decisions, and go forward. Who knows where it will all lead. Right now I’m content with where things are. I hope that men can do what I have done to become better leaders of their children and ex wife or ex girlfriend. A man can always have the lead even if he doesn’t have his children. Just need a different perspective and approach.

I almost got removed from my family home two separate occasions and let me tell you it was needed. And at the same time devastating I still just tolerate my family for along time I kept family together then just one day it enraged me and now no more family it’s still the most devastating thing I know others too who have been dealt this in different ways but that is no comfort it’s just the worst

It’s a conflict if there has already been an intake and information exchanged’ since no money was put on retainer ,any info they gave you was general in nature,‘and they are not bound to anything you make public,‘if they run into a true conflict, then they are to withdraw .

Married but dad overseas for 3 years and alienated daughter - trying now to get 50/50 thought relationship is not established. So just a quick question as to what you mean by social media? I have had my daughter for 2-3 days of the week every week and the only social media I have is work related so it contains very few pictures of her, will that affect me negatively?

What about child photos mentioning on it have a court case say next month. Or talking bad about other parent with people commenting verbal abuse on the posts pictures that child is on social that was posted also about the other parent too. What can be done with this and if that parent had a protection order to not harrass or abuse etc yet the parent is posting all above on social media

So if I have had seven years of help with depression and anxiety, improved over depression to where it was no longer a diagnosis, and improved over anxiety to where anxiety was not as much of an issue, to where the therapist was moving away from it and onto other things ... but if I lacked the last year out of eight because I felt comfortable not having therapy because I had achieved what I had got there to do, does that make me yet unfit as a parent?

Ok, here's one issue I've done a lot of research into, as it almost lost me custody. I used to have a really bad drug problem. All day, every day. When I got divorced, I quit. It was hard. To prove it, I've had to take drug tests. I've taken urine tests and hair. Problem with the latter is that the testing methods use quite a few assumptions: 1) hair grows the same length in August that it does in January. That's just illogical 2) body hair grows at the same rate as head hair. It does not. I ran into issues as a bald man, because when I was ordered to take hair tests, the hair came from my face and body, which grows far slower than head hair. However, I learned that the specific spot and rate of growth for said area isn't even taken into consideration. Thus, since body hair grows at about 50% the rate that head hair does, drugs stay in my hair twice as long, if they're using the same metric to gauge it. That's incredibly unscientific, and caused me to have to pay thousands of dollars to prove that I'm clean. I have been for a year, and I'm still afraid that the next one will not show that. Your super duper accurate tests are only accurate to a very specific set of variables, and anything outside of that should be dismissed as inaccurate. I would rather take 2x daily urine screens than go up against doctors and judges who don't even bother to learn the limitations of the techniques they employ.

Was that a C PAC record? How do you obtain records of the ex when they have had their uncle attorney seal or expunge them? My ex has two lewdness charges, dui marijuana charges, seatbelt/child restraint charges but he has been able to hide them.

There is a better way. Parental custody of children is actually a very simple matter to solve given the true desire of “What is best for the child”. We need to separate and discard marriage from family law as they no longer seem to be connected and "Marriage makes people treat each other as articles of property and no longer as free human beings. Einstein". We can develop protocols that confer (over time) equal parental rights and responsibilities,…..once parentage is proven. Children’s natural maturation process has 3 essential stages of need. A.The unconditional love of the mother from birth until about 7 years of age. The mother to have “thefinalsay” and to receive child allowance. B.The conditional love of the father, who takes his children out into the world, gives security and teaches social boundaries from 7 until about 13 years of age. The father to have “thefinalsay” and to receive child allowance. C.The friendship and respect of peers from 13 until 18 years of age. The child to have “thefinalsay”. If these 3 stages are not gone through in order, maturation is unlikely to be satisfactorily achieved and mental resilience reduced. This has now become generational. Such a regime of equal parenting rights (over time) would bind parents into a co-operative relationship, because (over time) each will hold the power of “thefinalsay” sequentially when they are best favoured to use it. Such family protocols would be the default position, (allowing love, courtesy and humour to prevail) but could in exceptional cases be varied by the court. Buckminster Fuller said:- “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete”. To alleviate suffering is worthy. To prevent it is divine, but thankless.
