I'd really recommend looking into yoga too, just experiment and steal the stretches that hit the right spots, then do them daily. I've gone from hardly being able to roll over in bed for the agony to living pretty decent and rarely using painkillers with just that (though I've done all the tests so I'm ready to hop on biologics if needed)

Thank you for this video. I have to mention that you can still have the condition without the gene, about 60 percent of the people with AS have the gene too

I have Ankylosing Spondylitis and Secondary Fibromyalgia. Its just life changing. Iam on Cimzia. Had many steroid injections. Some days cannot get out of bed. Nerve pain. Swollen hip and leg. But still some good days. Few but some.

To those all out there..pls feel to ask any questions about anklylosing spondylitis....Iam positive with ankylosing spondylitis...I HAVE DONE HELL LOT OF RESEARCH WITH MYSELF AND WITH EXTREME CONSCIOUS iam saying this so don't think iam some stupid saying this because i know A- Z about this disease...Brush your teeth for more than 5 minutes... even though it damages your enamel ..i mean do a thorough brushing in morning...after sometime you will feel saliva like stuff coming out of your stomach...spit it out .. always use salt included paste....so that saliva ( like phelgm).....spit that completely out... practice that every morning....YOU WILL BE ANKYLOSING SPONDYLITIS FREE.....THIS IS NOT DISEASE BUT A CONDITION LIKE DIABETES....SO you can reverse this condition by following this method like iam doing every single day !!!!!

Very informative and to the point presentation. I understand that all days are not same for such patients. But, exercise and right medication along with yoga will keep you in stable state. Please keep in mind that your immune system is fighting with your body considering it your enemy and damage your body parts. A sound mind is necessary to control your immune system. Accept your condition and work on it. Regards

If anyone reading this has this condition or similar, please, try Chiropractic. Chiropractic is not just for back pain etc. It's very, very safe compared to those drugs and especially compared to surgery. Worth a shot!

Just a note, when I was 19 I was diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis. They did blood tests. I had lots of swelling and pain. A couple of years later I cured it by drinking massive amounts of water and taking massive amounts of Vitamin C. 4-5 1000 Mg tabs 2 to three times a day, and as much water as I could drink. It said hot packs, yes that will make it feel better, but it will make it worse. The more heat therapy the worse you will get, that is because the heat causes more swelling. Cold packs will make it feel worse, but it will make it better.
