Can you list the papers you sell that would be considered archival? Is the ultra pro luster 300? Thanks.

Great question Terry! We do not consider any paper with a resin coating to be archival in the market. The base is considered archival, but resin coating has acidity in it which is why we call is Photo Grade. If you want an archival semigloss finish, then papers listed on this page would be good options: www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/fine-photographic-paper.html

I just need it to last longer than I ever will. I have some documents that are crucial to me that I have scanned. They don't have any notary seals on them but I still need to preserve them, at least as long as I will live. I would also keep the scans on multiple storage media types. I just won't trust flash memory for long term since it can become corrupt after a few years. There is nothing wrong with it for temporary storage but I would not want my only copy on flash memory, all I would have left is the originals then. Also if they are black and white that is great because then the scanner will ignore any discoloration of the paper when on black and white mode, effectively restoring the quality to any prints made. It is also good for those pesky receipts on colored paper (obviously less crucial to archive).

I've recently become a new customer of Red River Paper and so far, I am pleased. I love your videos also but have to read the lady's lips in order to follow what she is saying. Why do you not allow closed captioning on any of your videos? Do you somehow think that deaf people are not artistic, nor do we purchase photo printers?

This video has captions. We watched it again just now to verify. Double-check your settings and make sure the CC button is active.

@@Redrivercatalog someone must have fixed it since I posted that message. I’m telling you, all your videos I watched were without closed captioning. Trust me, I watch KZbin videos all the time and know how to turn on CC, but the CC button on your videos was grayed out so I was unable to implement it. In any case, thank you for fixing it. - Pam
