I bought "Before the coffee gets cold" a few days ago after looking at hundreds of books at a book store. It called my attention immediately because of the beautiful cover and the time travel story theme. I finished reading it yesterday and I can't wait to read the other ones.

I just finished reading the first book and immediately went to order the second. And because of this review, I learned that most likely I will enjoy the second and third books as much as I enjoyed the first, so thank you for that video. Also this summer, the fourth book was published and the fifth book in this series is coming out in September, which I’m looking forward to. There is also a Japanese film based on the first book that is just as sweet and interesting as the book!!

I've read all the three books in the series. No doubt, the story line is exceptional. But for me, i got hyped up seeing its title only," before the coffee gets cold". In the first book and in the first part only, my expectations were very high, like why only this cafe has this privilege of time travel? what's the possible mystery? but in the end, it is just written that ladies of tokita family have this power but the question of "WHY" wasn't answered. Also, i noticed that in the first part (fumiko's one), a mysterious mention of sugar pot or sugar cubes has been done. I was waiting throughout the first book for the climax to be somewhere linked to that; but that wait was extended till the third book and was eventually proved a myth of mine.

@@katerina9159 idk myself bro :l Since you're read the first book, the first part (fumiko one), sugar pot has been mentioned quite mysteriously. (you can go through it again if you want) I might be wrong but in these kinda novels (thrill, mystery, suspense), if a thing is mentioned, is it usually related to some thing which leads to climax xDD

Yes it’s an interesting book but as I tried to put myself in the character of a time traveler, I wondered what if the time I wanted to travel back into has nothing to do with the cafe or what if the one I want to be with again haven’t visited the cafe yet.
