The rubber tips had more traction since this softer material digged into the surface like a tyre. The flat tip combined with the rubber would create a fast, wide-circling pattern of motion, which would be very effective for landing a series of attacks, if the launch-angle was calculated. On the down-side if you didn't land any hits, the wider contact-patch and soft material would drain the tops out faster than most opponents. But I do wonder why the "RS" (rubber sharp) performance tip was a thing? (unless you wanted a bit faster movement, but the balance and stamina would be less good) But who cares! :D

@@blackbootylicker The only thing not serious here is the combined power of Ryuga and L-Drago. You see, it uses rotation to the left to magic steal instead of spin steal, but there's more. They can also spirit attack from a distance : where bey spirits are usually shown as just a visual representation of the tops fighting up close, Ryuga can just summon his dragon at any time to crush the opponent, in reference to Dragoon, the main character's beyblade in the first generation, where spirits could just show up anytime and do pretty much whatever, not bound by the few limitations of the tops. Attacks from a distance are very valuable in MFB, as they usually take damage from their own attacks like real tops would. Also, they have beaten the power of friendship and plot even in a battle anime for toddlers.

Oh, I remember that fight between Ryuga & Jack (the peacock guy) years ago, and man, oh man... I gotta go into detail about how that fight was just straight up DISRESPECTFUL & was yet another example of why Ryuga was THE menace So a couple of weeks before the match, Jack was just trash trashing Ryuga about how he could beat his ass so Ryuga went, "Okay let's go right now." Jack, however, wimped out by saying he doesn't have a Bey yet but once he does, he's gonna smoke him... So Ryuga just leaves, but not before giving a promise that, "The moment he finds out he got a Bey, he's coming for him" So fast forward to the WORLD TOURNAMENT, being BROADCASTED LIVE, Gingka's gotta fight both Jack & Damien (The Hades guy) back-to-back but, haha... Guess who just pulled up in the parking lot & kicked the doors wide open? 0:44 Yep, Ryuga's here & come to make good on that ass whopping he promised Jack as punishment for that trash talking. Worse, he wants to deliver it live in front of the world to make an example out of him. Jack, still being arrogant, accepts it thinking he's definitely gonna smoke him in front of everyone. (Side Note: The moment Ryuga made his presence, everyone was surprised or scared shitless, especially Hikaru who was having a full blown PSTD episode that I swear if it was anymore extreme it would've looked like Nina screaming from Code Geass) So throughout the battle Jack's Bey is just carving up the stadium, resulting in it drawing a giant peacock, declaring that he's gonna bury Ryuga's bey right where the eye is & everyone's is just acting like, "OMG, Is Ryuga really about to be defeated!?" except Gingka, who's saying, "Oh boy... Jack better quit while he's ahead..." to his teammate's confusion. And uh, yeah to anyone who watched the insanity Ryuga pulled off in the last season, you knew things were going too well for Jack, who was STILL doing all that trash talking about how beating Ryuga was gonna be his masterpiece or whatever. So just when it looked like he delivered a KO Jack is coming up very long name for his masterpiece as he popping the champagne, you swear Ryuga was doing the "Saitama Ok" meme off screen before this happens... 1:27 Yeah, turns out Ryuga reveals that he had just gave Jack, who was sweating rivers now, a five minute headstart before he proceeds to beat his ass in front of the cameras and yeah... 2:08 Not only did his Bey OHKO'd Jack's, but to add salt to the wound & rub it in for good measure, he had it buried deep in the very same spot Jack claimed he's gonna do to Ryuga in front of the whole world, causing Jack to flip out for being exposed as a fraud. Like imagine this whole thing a street fight between a very notorious mofo and a trash talker who spent weeks talking smack about how he gonna beat him, had ordered a coffin & freshly dug grave prepared for them, spent five minutes beating their ass while talking selfies & having people record the whole thing & right when it looks like they just KO'd the dude he's stops his fall halfway, gets back up like nothing happen before tells the trash talker that he gave em a head start in the fight before pulling out the UNO Reverse card & backhanding them so hard that not only the trash talker got KO'd but threw their unconscious body into the coffin, which then closed itself, rolled into the grave, and the dirt mount fell on top of it? Like God damn! Jack got humbled real quick after Ryuga exposed him as a fraud and reminded everyone why he was THE Menace XD

I was right at the age to have a Beyblade and use them (those "arenas" they had were literally for the safety of the Beyblade, not you, they had sides ramped up at an angle that aimed whichever Beyblade got knocked out to launch at your eyes) but not to watch the show... and this shit is basically one level below "Ghost Stories" dub level of insane, but with cataclysmic destruction instead of casual references to OJ and random insults towards...
