One more reason for BSOD is radiation.. As computer use transistor for binary number, off transistor works as 0 on transistor works as 1. when radiation particle passes by it disturbs flow of current in transistor and may result in flipping the bits.. flipping the binary file in a way thats might be hazardous for computer will result in BSOD.. thats why the satellites sent in space are specially coated in special super resistant kind of coating so that these kind of problem will not occur in satellites sent in space because if something like this occur in space then whole space mission will become a failure because the whole project will become inaccessable.
