I joined this channel to see sailing videos. BUT I've bought into the people. It's the people who make the videos, and these clips/episodes show the life that these people are experiencing. I for one, LOVED that they made these videos. Open your mind?

Thank you Bobby for taking the time to let us know what Burning Man was all about. I had no idea. I have been to the Sturgis Bike Rally and Germany's Oktoberfest a few times and reminds me of them although a bit difference in many respects although much the same in many. LOL It's all about being happy! I may not be a Patreon, I'm a big supporter. I still think you should go 50/50 with Meg and get this thing (video channel) rolling again. JMHO Safe travels and still watching.

Really nice job Bobby!! One of the best introductory explanations/demonstrations of Burning Man I have ever seen. Well done. One way to avoid the dust of the Playa is to treat your camera as if you are diving and put it in an underwater housing. Cumbersome, but effective, and it protects your camera.

Great overview of Burningman. A few observations: 1: I'm glad you showed it so well.. so I don' t personally have to endure the dirt and dust. 2: I admit I was a bit distracted during some scenes,but I'm not at the liberty to say why... hah hah!

It's about dust! Seriously think I was washing it out 4 months later, in cracks I didn't know I had,lol but I agree, it's about art and spirituality, a place where many's inner child come out..and something that has to be experienced to be understood properly. I Have only been to it twice so far, but the images and experiences stick with you a lifetime. It's also amazing some of the things that are set up out there, as you wouldn't expect to see such detail and large scale venues out on a dust plain, but people make it happen. Then it all burns away so quickly, in a epic ending.

PSA to all those complaining about no sailing videos. Its hurricane season. It's obvious you know nothing about the sailing season and basic weather. The Caribbean just got wiped off the face of this earth and you expect him to sit in a boat and record that? Here's an idea. Why don't one of you armchair sailors go buy a boat and live stream yourself sailing in to a CAT 5 hurricane and tell us how it goes.
@dalemartin7886

There are sailing locations other than the Caribbean.
@Josef_R
@Josef_R 7 жыл бұрын
NerdFactor It's obvious you know nothing about sailing if you think everyone sailing the Caribbean just parks their boats and goes to land for six months. Real sailors go a few miles south for hurricane season and SAIL the entire year. But the truth is, losers like Bob don't know how to make money sailing down there, while dozens of others are wildly successful at it.

@DragonPilot
@DragonPilot 5 жыл бұрын
Nice try. We have a saying at Burning Man "Hippies not allowed." Actually, anyone that has the time and resources can attend...but a hippie, in the truest sense of the word, would not be able to afford to attend, unless it's the only thing they want to do that year. Tickets are north of $500, ya gotta bring your own food, water and shelter. Ya gotta get there by some kind of gas-burning conveyance...it ain't cheap. Yeah, prolly mostly attended by folks with a liberal bent, but the conservative side of the house is well represented. It's definitely not for everyone, altho these days about 1 million folks world-wide vie for about 70,000 tickets. I've attended 14 consecutive times.

Good video as always.. Its sad to see that some people just don't get it. That yes this about sailing... its sailing to a new place. Sailing is by sea and by land... Its to take us to new places to see new things and sometimes even old things. Not every video can bat a 10 but they try.... So take the time to follow and not just to look for the T & A in videos... Respect is all every get here.... Be safe my friends and will see you after the burn.... To the sea O Captain! my Captain!...

Probably one of the most distinct and fascinating videos on KZbin. Bobby you surpass 60 Minutes et al for sharing stories in a very unique manner. You have a gift for sharing the human experience. In my opinion the sailing aspect is very limited in scope as well as not practical to manage for you? Your balance of video & narration is unmatched. Television executives will end-up reaching out to you as TV viewership fades. Looking forward to your Asian stories.

"Over the air" TV viewership has declined, and will continue to, because of the vast number of options for alternative viewing entertainment. It will always hold a certain segment, but the availibility of alernative delivery methods, in particular the internet, now makes it possible for people to create wonderful content, like Bobby dos, and have access to a large, constantly growing, audience, or market. However, the original programming for "TV" still exists, it simply must compete with all of the other programming available on a more equal basis. The key element is the same, however, tell a good story in a compelling, personally appealing, manner. Bobby does this very, very well.

Loved Burning Man the year I went. What's really amazing to me is how they leave no trace once the festival is done. You'd never know they had been there. Every bit of moop (matter out of place) is cataloged and mapped and disposed of. FEMA has done extensive interviews with the BMORG to learn how to build temporary cities. These folks are simply amazing.

I would rather sit here and watch these, than Brad Pitt, Angela whatsherface, Sean Connery, or any of that crap in Hollywood. This is life, and you are the stars.

Hoping all burned those foul traits in us and start to look forward to rising from the ashes...learning from our mistakes. I guess that is the essence of 'the burning man'. Rise and move on wiser, be more attuned to others than being too self centered....thats the deeper message in the feast camaraderie. I havent been there but seems quite a meaningful event if one truly discerns.

For those who aren't already detached from reality, this would be a good start.

My camp would be a learning camp!!! "How to exercise demons" out of a bunch of "do what they whilters" , glorifying rebellion and calling it spiritual , SPIRIT-RITUAL. Bless those little lost ones crying in the desert.

I just have one son, so I was able to keep a good eye on him. =) He was maybe around 5 when I first took him. We camped in Kidsville each year and he had a blast!! I paid a lot of attention to him to make sure he didn't get too hot and stayed hydrated. He loved it and was excited to go back his 2nd and 3rd year. =)
