As per Latest Financial Data, KEI CCC is 165 & Polycab CCC is 131. So, Polycab Cash conversion Cycle is better.

Now my answer for your homework: As of Mar 22, Polycab seems to be better at CCC 77 compared to KEI which is 99. Having said that, my query is, what really must have happened between Mar 21 and Mar 22 for both the companies to show the major drop in their CCC?

Good way of understanding for CCC. KEI for Mar-22 was 99 whereas for Polycab for Mar-22 was 77. Less the better hence Polycab is good in CCC process.

Here are my observations: Polycab - Debtor days have remained consistent over last 3 years. - Inventory days has reduced consistently over last 3 years. - Days payable has been average at 39 days over last 3 years. KEI - Debtor days has been increasing consistently over last 3 years. - Inventory days have been consistent for last 2 years. - Days payable has increased since last year. However, CCC for Polycab, though it increased by over double 3 years back, it has come down by 12 days in FY'21. CCC for KEI has however increased by over 35 days in the last 3 years. On a straight comparison basis - Polycab looks better than KEI, currently. However, Polycab should endeavor to bring down the CCC to Mar'18 levels (70 days), which was also their lowest in last 7 years. Thank You

According to my analysis i feel that Polycab have better CCC as mean of Polycab when calculated is found to be 112.8 and also when checked the debtor days it was constantly decreasing whereas in KEI mean of CCC was 137.6 which was not only shade higher than Polycab CCC but also debtor days were in triple digits which were very volatile almost roaming in the same range. Conclusion : Polycab have better CCC

Hello Thank you for the information I have a doubt In the example u mentioned CCC was 45 days. What if the investment repeats every 15days how do we calculate CCC.? I m into plant nursery business and CCC is 18 months (Dec 2020 to June 2022) Next cycle has already started Dec 2021 --- June 2023 ...
