Thank you so much for spending the time to produce content like this! I've run across similar issues with resin casting, so thank you for explaining how you battle it with casting!

Well explained, not expecting learners to know the basics is the only way to teach

Hi, your casting is perfect. The surface of the casting is smooth. I am curious, after you poured the molten metal into the investment, what did you sprinkle on top of it?

Thank you! That was some borax flux powder that I sprinkled onto the button. It's not super necessary but it helps keep the button from getting heavy oxides and makes it a little easier to clean and re-cast for later.

I'm entirely new to this and purchased a Mini 8K S from Phrozen recently. JAMG HE resin sounds like a great option and I plan to try it out, but is there any reason why you don't use the castable jewelry resin that Phrozen sells? Does it yield less than optimal prints or have you not tried it out? Any feedback is more than appreciated, thanks!

Honestly, I just haven't tried Phrozen's castable resin out yet. I like experimenting with new stuff once and a while but I'm my opinion, if you find something that works good for you, there's no need to change it. So far, I really like working with the Jamg HE castable resin and it seems to be really versatile, so I've just been sticking with it and improving other steps in my casting process.

I apologize if you previously have answered the question, but what do you use to oxidize your jewelry?
@GraceNoteForge3 ай бұрын
I use a little liver of sulfur diluted in some warm water 👍
