I am praying for you. I am new to Celebrate Recovery since March 2017. Contact International Celebrate Recovery on facebook and ask for SKYPE tutorials as that is how they are spreading CR to India my husband's country. I also speak French as well as my sponsor and we hope to start Celebrate Recovery meetings in French in Ottawa area. It is possible. God Bless you.

Celebrate Recovery works so well because their is true fellowship. The church doesn't have any kind of fellowship. One man does all the speaking, the rest sit and listen. Then we'll go home 😢

I tried taking my daughter and her boyfriend. They went for 6 weeks which it's what they challenge you to go to see if it works for you. They broke off into separate groups then me but always talk to me about what they shared and the reaction they got from the people in the group. Both of them have abusive mothers. They both exchange phone numbers with people and leaders of their groups. My daughter got sick one weekend and I contacted and let them know or the person that was running it know that we wouldn't be in we would see them next week. The following week I ended up getting sick so once again I contacted them. I was on a job and had an emergency on the third weekend in which my daughter's boyfriend was actually working with me and I was going to contact once again but decided to wait and see if anybody would contact us. Three different people in three different groups all of us giving out our contact information. Needless to say the week went by no one contacted us at this point the kids really work excited about going and when I talk to them why my daughter said that one woman that was in the meeting was having a very hard time and discussing some very painful stuff that happened to her and in the middle of it she said damn and a woman in meeting stopped her and reminded her that she needed to watch her language. This really upset my daughter it was as if the woman was going through something really painful and the only thing she was hearing was that the woman cussed. And the fact that at this point it had been 5 weeks and nobody even bothered to contact her? Now my daughter does online gaming with people all over the world one night my daughter didn't make it online and she got four or five text on her phone from people reaching out wanting to know if she was okay. All of these people who reached out to her are professed atheist's.

Me personally, I hear the conversations in the parking lot and believe it's very hypocritical to warn someone about their language in a HOLY PLACE then walk into the parking lot and have unholy conversations????

Celebrate re every is good but they call it an umbrella ministry...that's good but the umbrella is too big.....meaning you have people who have been sexually abused, domestic violence situations, drug addicts, alcoholics, gamblers, etc. But some of these issues are so deep they need their own group...sensitive topics that can trigger others. Ladies sitting around talking for 5 minutes and then going on to the next person and people leaving while still emotionally bleeding. There needs to be groups for specific issues for example, depression and especially those that have been sexually violated! My professional counselor agrees 100% with these ideas....she's a masters degree social.worker and knows what she's talking about. I'm not saying CR isn't helpful but some issues are too deep to deal with in an umbrella ministry. Any comments???? dul

There is no reason you cannot have separate groups... a cr for alcohol, or drug addiction, sexual abuse, even a group specifically for pastors or pastors wives

We separate in ours, chemical then mixed issued and specific issues .. lake forest, ca saddleback You might have to find one that does this not all do it some just do mixed issues sounds like it might be your church.

We have 2 separate break out groups, Addictions and other. We try to avoid triggers in our small groups. The small group leader needs to be able to recognize shares that are "too much"

Agree.....little Bible mixed in...with new age....always the trick of satan. No mention of sin. Wreched sinner that I am.....saved by God's mercy and grace. CR is also full of hip music to make people feel they deserve grace and mercy. As sinners we DESERVE hell....the wrath of God. The only testimony that is important is Jesus Christ.

Celebrate Recovery is a DIFFERENT GOSPEL & a DIFFERENT JESUS & a DIFFERENT BIBLE. Stay Away From It. Believe 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. Become Born Again, John 3:3, and ALL your sins are cleansed in the Blood of JESUS, and forgiven, Then start walking with God, and avoid false pseudo-Christian teachings like Celebrate Recovery.
