Chain Training is not a workout program, exercise, or training method. It’s a simple way to look at how you use your body to get the most out of your workout programs, exercises, and training methods.
You can use it with any type of equipment and apply it towards any goal you like, from athletic performance and power, to building strength and muscle. It can even be used to prevent joint stress and make your workouts more satisfying.
Best of all, it doesn’t require anything special or additional effort to use it. All it takes is a mental focus on improving the engagement in your tension chains as you go through your training.

Your book, Suspension Calisthenics, brought me here. Excellent book, the best I've found for working with suspension systems. But it's the holistic aspect of chain training that makes the book outstanding.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that Hampton's Hybrid Routine is marvelously simple but effective. Despite being a mostly beginner oriented routine, it almost does exactly this efficient method of exercise. Push pull squat flexion extension and even a little side work to a lesser degree. You are both truly great coaches.

@@Zellonous Oh im sure calisthenics itself was around for 1000s of years, but progressive calisthenics (where you make an exercise easy as hell to hard as hell through leverage) was a relatively new concept until that book came out. Unless i missed other ogs before that.

Extremely informative thank you... 1 question for you,, this might be personal preference but,, when you grip the rings do you grip them where the fingers meet the palm, the top of the palm or on the center meaty part of the palm ?? Thanks..
