Thx for this great video! Question: why did you just merge layers which ARE NOT part of the colour grade folder? Is that because you want to add them separately later?
@tandlauer3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Abbey for this tutorial ! So, it seems that your color grading process is a build up process, with tries, and stack of a lot of LUTs for example, with different properties (opacity, etc). I was wondering if, when you know the starting point A and the final point B, you may be thinking sometimes "Well, knowing starting and ending point, I could have done the same with only a few curves or adjustment layers" ?
@TheSecondOne1233 жыл бұрын
Yes kinda! In fact I used to be very insecure about showing how I color grade my images because I always anticipated “that’s a dumb way to do it” comments. Haha But now a days, I just accept that as long as it gets me where I’m going I’m fine with it Doing it in so many layers gives me more control too, so there are upsides!

Some great points here-thanks for the feedback!

Wait a sec... you add all the adjustment layers at the top? You don’t do any adjustments to the individual photos?
@TheSecondOne1233 жыл бұрын
I do! But mostly just things like adjusting the lighting, shadows, and contrast. Though some color correction also happens. The top color grade is for the overall atmosphere and color of the image.
