Hi from Australia. Haven't seen a concrete truck like that before in Australia, but I will keep my eyes open. Good thing about those trucks is that you don't have to worry about a batch of concrete going off in the mixer barrel. Our mixers are getting so big that we now have semi trailer barrel mixers running around.

Ashville, actually, the aggregates count for strength and the mix ratio of aggregates and water content is critical. Of course base / ground conditions and ambient temperatures are critical... I have to point out that ' bottle mixers ' as you call them don't keep concrete wet .... i drive one and have done the last 12 years and all they do is agitate it ... it will still dry out and go hard even with the barrel turning which is why we have 2 hours from time of loading to delivering the load and washing out .... if we are kept waiting or have a breakdown while loaded it can become a very costly problem ... not fun being in one of those barrels with 8 cubic metres of rock hard concrete with only a small kangol to try get it out lol

Normally concrete like that is called "blinding". It is a base to work from to construct formwork. Or as there isn't any steel mesh or bars, it is probably just going to be a hard standing. Without steel reinforcement it will probably crack in time.
