Thanks Doctor garu. Very neatly explained CRP. Inflammatory marker. It prompts complement system to reduce the impact of infection. HSCRP above 3 value indicates the risk of heart attack. CRP is also used as a marker in cancer progression. Recurrence of cancer also uses CRP as marker. Another point of CRP is to monitor the reduction of infection upon antibiotic treatment.
