For safer side , there should be alternative person should also have same access as admin to the workspace. Or before leaving the organisation he should delegate all the dependency to some other user. He should provided access to someothef user and leave.

Sir.. can we replace the view which I have used from Azure database with any other workflow? My current dashboard is with azure database connection and now client have created the same view as a dataset and asking us to use that... In this case I should create a all new dashboard or is there any option to replace the data source with the dataset?.. please advise

Database you can treat as a import mode , where as dataset considered as live connection or SSAS tabular. For database power bi uses sql, for dataset power bi uses Dax to read the data from source. I hope you need to recreate the dashboard. My answer is Based on your writings above.

Hi Nags, after providing folder path, the connection credentials is not refreshed. I mean no drop down option shown. Let me know the specific reason, why its not loading after providing folder path. I am unable to create dataflow because of that. I appreciate if you answer for this question

Thanks for the video! After using the dataflow in the dataset when you build the model in the dataset is it possible to connect the table which comes from dataflow and the one which comes from excel. I have asked this question in the interview. So I just wanted to confirm. Also could you please let me know what are the drawbacks of the dataflow.

Hello sir, I would like to ask if there's a difference between dataflows and Azure analysis service? I just want to know where the data model is stored eventually. Is it stored in AAS or dataflows? I asked this because I'm not sure, so I want someone to clarify me. I'm building pipeline to data model to visualization (power bi) But when it comes to modeling data before it goes to power bi service, I just not sure where the model is stored. Is it stored in aas or is it stored in dataflows (azure data Lake storage)?

Dataflows target data stored in azure data lake. This is internal to power bi. You have to design the dataflow that's it. So for your power bi report dataflow act as a another source. @@AnalyticswithNags Thank you. So basically say for example, PowerBi has 3 things: (1)report view (2)data view (3)model view Dataflows will take care for the transformation of the data (2). While powerbi will take care of visualization(1) and modeling(3) Do I understand correctly?

@@norpriest521 data flow will not take care of the transformation by itself. Once you create dataflow on cloud it can be reused by anybody. It's a reusable cleaned or preprocessed data but data pre processing has to be done by us. It's something like this. Pre process once reuse many times
