what is delusional disorder is an important topic. it is one of the types of psychotic illnesses.
the main feature of delusional disorder is one prominent delusion. the whole life of patient revolves around this delusion. the patient's life and the daily functioning is disturbed because of this religion. but this decline is in functioning is not so much significant when we compared to to that of schizophrenia. the comparison of Delhi functioning decline is also the major difference between delusional disorder and schizophrenia.
The other differences between schizophrenia and the delusional disorder are the type and the nature of symptoms. for example in delusional disorder there is only e are usually one delusion and the other symptoms that is a revolves around this delusion. while in schizophrenia there are a lot of symptoms including delusions hallucinations auditee in behaviour oddity in speech etc.
