This tutorial is my first TY video about Docker and gave me a good feeling about using Docker. Also, thanks for covering the other related topics which are essential, and they are very easy to understand. Thanks!

0:30 Traditionally, the answer to this question was : have the environment on a server. Developers then all connect to the server, which runs production and test environments.

I wondered about licenses for the operating systems. Is a license required for each os guest image? What about non-open source database engines?
@SimplilearnOfficial6 жыл бұрын
Hi Albert, thanks for watching our video. When you install Jira via docker, you still need a proper licence - e.g. a demo licence for testing. And when you install an open source database like MariaDB, you can do it as often as you would like in the non-docker world. Also, When you install several Windows-es on several virtual machines, you need several Windows licenses, and so on. Hope that helps!
@saurabhgarg83164 жыл бұрын
Hi First of all thanks for a nice intro on docker. I had a doubt in my mind, please clear it. If I want to run docker on windows how about the support for soft-wares like Redis DB for which no production version is available for windows can we still run it in docker. While in VMware we will be able to run it on same windows machine. If we cannot, I see it one advantage of VMware over docker due to which it is preferred in industry (Hardware cost benefits).

Hi there, I'm a fresh graduate in Computer Science having limited work experience. As a result of Covid-19, I lost my job as a technical support personnel and terribly perplexed to what can be done. I am looking out for an entry back into the IT market. I have limited working experience as a programmer. Will a certification in docker help me build my resume ? Hoping to hear back from your team. I'm really curious to know more about this. Thanking you, Sreenivasan
