Hello! Just to clarify, Dropshipping and Print-on-Demand are two different eCommerce business models. In a sense, you could purchase wholesale from a POD manufacturer and then provide the product to a supplier to dropship for you. Is that what you're looking for?

If you're looking to charge for shipping, then you can use shipping profiles -bit.ly/3O9PMdu to calculate and combine the shipping costs. If a customer adds products from different shipping profiles, then the shipping rates will be combined at checkout - bit.ly/3xHpmZA. Alternatively, if you're marking up the prices for your products, you can also consider adding the shipping costs to that and offer free shipping on your store - bit.ly/3xXyF8X. Hi, Renee! That is a great question. With these sorts of issues with shipping the key is always to be transparent and communicate to your customers. You can use a banner to convey this on your homepage, you can also highlight this on your shipping profile names so at checkout your customers will be fully aware of the caveats. From there, you can use social proof, perhaps launch a campaign where you let people know you do your best to make sure shipments get through in a timely manner and that you will make any issues right with follow-ups etc. Have you encountered many customers coming back to you about shipping issues? - Rein

17:23 I was looking at the minimum orders and it was 200 on one wholesale website. how does this work? when someone buys they product you advertise, you don’t want to buy 200, only 1. Or do you buy 200 and they keep them until you have another buyer.

Hi Ainsley! This will vary depending on the supplier you are purchasing from. If you are purchasing from a drop shipping vendor then generally they will fill individual orders without any inventory commitments. You will need to continue searching for a vendor that has a business model that also suits your needs.

The problem with China it takes 1 month to arrive in the US. As a customer, I personally wouldn't wait 1 month (unless I'm ordering directly from china) I remember running into popular drop shipper "Lit activewear" (that pretend to be Californian) and as soon as I realized they ship from China I canceled my order.

Many popular services have started to offer product warehouses across the world to help speed up shipping times. Shipping over-seas can take anywhere from 14-40 days depending on the shipping provider.

You have to find out if your supplier is willing to drop ship for you or not. If not, you’ll have to find a new supplier that’s willing to drop ship. You don’t necessarily have to tell your customers that you’re going to be dropshipping, unless there will be a longer delay in getting their ordered items. If there will be a delay, or the shipping will take a lot longer than it has previously, then you may need to let customers know why. You can simply put a note on your website about it.

Great video, but I still have questions. You explained that manufacturers and wholesalers typically have what are known as minimum order quantities, meaning they only sell in bulk. As a dropshipper, I don't buy the products until my customers place an order. So what if my dropshipping store only gets a few orders? Won't the supplier refuse to sell the products since I'm not buying in bulk?

That's correct. I recommend contacting specific suppliers if you have questions about their requirements, but suppliers on DSers mostly work with dropshippers and don't usually have minimum requirements.

The money goes to you when you make a sale. Once your dropshipping supplier has your order, they will enter it into their system and get the order ready for shipment. You might be charged per order, or in daily, weekly or monthly invoices. Most dropshipping suppliers will charge a company credit card provided by you for all expenses.
