Brilliant explanation. Dynamo is so intimidating to begin with and my progress was rather sluggish, but THAT explanation clarified a lot.

I am using Revit for a framing company where custom homes is the primary project type. I’ve been trying to find a more efficient way to create the framing members around the window and door openings where the number of jack studs and king studs is (generally) dependent on the overall width of the window or door; while the header/lintel also must scale accordingly. It seems Dynamo could address this. Yes?

Grasshopper is powerful that's right, however, dynamo suits better to my needs due to revit as revit is better than rhino in visual design and graphic performance. Together with revit I can design my structure and arrange my calculations all in one suit.

@jonbordas9326 жыл бұрын
Hi, in school they just taught me how to use Grasshopper, a plugin for Rhinoceros very very similar to Dynamo. Is the knowledge of these programs interchangeable? is Dynamo superior? if so, why?
@monica28136 жыл бұрын
He mentioned the grasshopper and dynamo in another video, which is called "5 programs architect must learn". You can go and check there
@charbelhayek8395 жыл бұрын
grasshopper is similar to it but its more powerful than dynamo
@patrickpodeyn75824 жыл бұрын
Grasshoppers power lies within being able to sculpt and manipulate geometry easily. Dynamo's power lies not only in it's ability to manipulate geometry in Revit but automation of tedious tasks in Revit. That's where the true benefit of Dynamo is at, the automation of tasks that suck to do in Revit and being able to control data and manipulate it within Revit. There isn't a more powerful visual programmer as both have it's place.
