If the G BODY dialogue is actually intentional and meant to be relevant, the “Now tear off the mask beneath your face!” line reminds me a lot of Kris being controlled by the player and such. It’s sort of like a prompt for Kris to take control of their own body and get rid of the player, similar to the references to ripping out puppet strings in Chapter Two. But also, if that second line is meant to be about Kris, then I think it’s plausible that “You’ve come again to this wonderful place” could be some good supporting evidence for that theory some people have about Kris having been to dark worlds before. Even if this dialogue isn’t meant to be seen by players, it was still written and probably isn’t arbitrary nonsense, so I think it’s worth remembering for the future(?) And, I might be misremembering.. but isn’t the UI of the save file loading menu controlled by Gaster in Chapter One? And also the death screen of ch1 is possibly Gaster’s words?? It’s weird to me that Gaster has so much meta-relevance in ch1 that’s absent from ch2, and G BODY turning into Echidna feels like another part of that maybe. I think it’s more likely that none of this matters…. but it’s sticking out to me as weird

I wonder if steam from a fountain leaked through the door of the bunker & put Kris & Dess into a dark world but they didn't know that was what happened at the time because entering a dark world tends to put you to sleep & when Kris woke up after leaving the dark world, Dess was gone. That would explain why Kris is afraid of the bunker Not sure why Kris wouldn't have told everyone though. Maybe that was the incident that caused Kris to have an unwanted soul controlling them & the soul won't let them tell anyone. Then again, they could probably just remove the soul & then tell someone. Maybe she died there & Kris knows it so they just don't talk about her. An incident like that would explain how Kris got the idea to crack open a door before making a fountain. Maybe the dark world inside the bunker had yet another person seeking freedom & they possessed Kris' soul so they could escape. Maybe they made that particular dark world because they wanted someone to get pulled in so they could possess them in the dark world to escape the bunker in the light world because they've been trapped down there as part of an experiment. Maybe they made Kris kill Dess so she couldn't tell anyone that there's something wrong with Kris.

It's definitely strange how Echidna is not kept in any physical records to this day, I feel like that implies something about the potential for a sinister goner. Especially considering she'd be the mother of all monsters, a creator of a major part of the world becoming a goner would tell a very compelling story. Especially considering the means you need to access her code and being a parent object for all other monsters, that might be a definite possibility for an explanation of this character in deltarune. But of course that's crackpot as usual from me, cool how you can encounter G Body though. I like the idea of killing the devil in exchange for negative EXP and negative gold makes it almost like a deal of sorts, it's a very Toby thing to do which could have implicatons considering routes and the like. I've also been saying there's something very suspicious about "THE BIG ONE" broken sword as well, I think there's got to be a way to repair/use it specifically because it comes from spamton's shop.

What is even more curious is how in UNDERTALE monsters also did becomed only on a single tale of the past. Everyone forgetting about their existence, and not getting close to the MT.EBOTT only for the possibility that you truly couldn't come back from there. I wrote this under your last stream. Idk if you read it, so I leave it once again. I just wanted to point out something I noticed, though I don´t know whether it will lead to anything. In the roaring Prophecy we can see 3 titans. In the very first dark fountain, the closet, there are also three save points. The first one you can find right after falling down, the second one at the eye puzzle and the third one at the castle. The save points kind of look like the "heads" of the titans. There are theories that support the idea of a Roaring already having happened in the past so, very far stretched, maybe those titans have been sealed in the closet and turned into save points. The last part was only interpretation, but yeah, just wanted to share somenthing I noticed.

Unused enemy type is interesting, although knowing Toby it might become an actual enemy in a later chapter. Speaking of code shenangins though, I'm interested in little stuff you occasionally dive into on the chanell like: When the game tells you Noelle becomes immune to Mice after the Berdly Mouse Puzzle, does she actually become immune to Mice Element bullets afterwards or is it just for show? or Since Ralsei is a Darkner, he should logically have his own elements that he is strong/weak against, so is it possible to tell what his element is just from observing how much damage an elemental attack bullet does to Ralsei? Obviously powerfull foes with high attack like Jevil will wreck the fluffy boy if he has no DEF items on because he only has 2 DEF, so it'll probably be hard to eyeball how much damage a certain bullet type does to Ralsei. It's also interesting that we never get confirmation on what elemental types or weaknessess characters like Lancer, King and Queen have either, despite technically having recruited them. I just like the rabbit hole-type stuff that is also informative, in that it can be usefull going forward

@@HalfBreadChaos See, this is the sort of trivia I love, since I ALWAYS assumed being immune to mice was a set-up for later chapters - i just assumed Noelle would from that point on take less damage from "mice" element attacks as a sort of Pacifist-specific reward, but her acts changing is probably going to be an interesting detail since you can TECHNICALLY skip past the Mice Immunity puzzle via aborting Snowgrave at Birdly, so she might have strong Ice attacks but STILL have a crippling fear of mice that could give a variation later down the line (unless her Acts revert to AFTER mice Immunity when you abort Snowgrave, I don't think anybody has actually confirmed this)

Hi Halfbread!! I thought something interesting to note regarding this entity (that also connects to your Goner Code video) is some additional Homestuck connections!! In Homestuck, the Quills of Echidna are used in the process of initiating a Scratch. A Scratch is an event that can lead to a universe being reset to a point in the past. A Scratch is usually done in SBURB sessions doomed to fail, and causes certain events in the timeline to play out differently, a last resort to win the game pretty much. I don’t think these connections amount to much, but given that certain theorists speculate the Roaring could be inevitable, and the game is stated to only have one ending, it could be a bit of light nodding to a potential Scratch-like event taking place at some point. The characters of the pre-Scratch exist, but as different and independent versions of themselves, and their roles are different, usually as background characters while a new cast becomes the players of the new session. Influential, but not the stars of the show, so to speak. Think of it like if Bruce Wayne becoming Batman pre-Scratch, but post-Scratch, the Waynes survived, and Bruce never became Batman, but through Wayne Enterprises instigated a series of events that lead to an alternative version of Nightwing who became the main figure of that universe instead of Batman. Bruce Wayne still exists post-Scratch, but in a very different way.

this is a pretty open-ended little easter egg, but i do have to wonder if it's going to have some kind of relevance? a proper encounter with a mythological echidna would be pretty out there for deltarune, but there are certainly some plot-relevant moms in the story. toriel is one, but i think mayor holiday is an especially interesting one to view in this light. maybe noelle will make a dark fountain at some point, and due to it being a reflection of her will we'll get to see a monstrous rendition of her mom? that's just conjecture, though. (also if it does wind up being tied to mayor holiday, the whole G BODY thing is another potential connection between the holidays and gaster...)

Hey, small heads-up: if you heard about echidna from the Greek myths in a slightly or very different way, it’s because there are relatively infinite different slight and major alternate variations of every aspect of Greek mythology. For example, in myths I read, echidna was a she-monster who lived in Erebus, the underworld, and was married to a monster called typhon. Or typhoeus. And get this; it’s not just name confusion, but apparently sometimes typhon and typhoeus are two different monsters! I lied when I said this was a small heads-up, sorry.

I found something interesting in chapter 1. At some point, in the prison, Kris and Ralsei join the party instead of Susie. This implies that Susie can be a party leader.

Well theorically you were on susie's pov so on her pov they joined the party, instead of her joining the party

Which makes sense if the reason we were seeing her perspective is because Ralsei was helping the... thing inside of Kris project its perspective over to Susie. Kris & Ralsei joined its party.

Sassafras! not a full solution but if you can find a tts library and a speech to text(stt) library you should be able to have the stt listen for your voice, then write your words to a variable(lets go with new_speech), then check if its new by seeing if its the same as old_speech(ill get to that later), running the tts on new_speech if new_speech is different from old_speech, and finally upate old_speech to be the same as new_speech so that the test works, then just repeat the loop. this does depend alot on the specifics of the libraries, but i hope this helps. python-esque pseudo code example: import tts import stt new_speech = " " while True old_speech = new_speech new_speech = stt.listen() if new_speech != old_speech: tts.speak(new_speech) sorry if that dosent make much sense or if this idea dosent work out, and thanks for making these videos.

I hope Deltarune leads to the resolution of all story threads. If a mystery has no bread crumbs that can at the very least lead you to a logical conclusion, it's hard to believe there was even any writing behind said mystery in the first place. Resolving a mystery makes it that much more believable and satisfying. I've had enough of the "mysterious thing you'll never understand" trope. I wanna know the full deal with Gaster.

Fighting Gaster would probably require something akin to those Undertale fangame fights where your damage rises every time you land a good hit, which starts the fight feeling really slow, but by the end you're dealing half the health bar in one attack

before i watched this, i saw "Echidna" and watching alittle i saw "Entity #1" and it's glitchy nature, and instantly reminded me of "Knuckles' Chaotix"s Entity #1 where is a corrupted version of Tails (that was left in the code from "Sonic Crackers"/or "Sonic Studium" as in the ROM Header, the prototype of Chaotix') After watching: it's very interesting... also the spamton skit ending was funny
