To sum up :Limit your shower time 5mins max, Use warm water instead of hot water. Use gentle cleanser. Be gentle with your skin ( avoid loofah etc). Healthy diet (more fruit and veg. Drink enough water. Omega 3-6) From my experience, Omega 3-6-9 really works, I noticed change on my skin on few days.

Whoow thank you Doc. I enjoy my hot showers. I do spend at most 20 minutes thinking all sorts of silly things under that hot water doing wonders to my body. Little did I know that it was also damaging me. I like my soap Sunlight. It is not for human use but it fits well with me. Now I will try your advice. I wonder if I will succeed with the 5-minute shower.

Every since 2018 I had eczema appear on my skin, mostly on my hands and feet, lower legs and forearms, it appears at least once a year since 2018, I’ve noticed alcohol is the thing that triggers my eczema, but only when I consume excess alcohol, I mean like a huge night out, so I try to avoid that and only have around 8 drinks over and drink slower, only on weekends, also opting for sugar free premix alcohol spirits, cold showers help, and sticking to a mostly high protein, mostly real whole food diet, no artificial crap, and applying QV wash and water based moisturiser has helped me, Steriod creams do work as well, and when I use them after a week my skin does clear up and it doesn’t come back, but yes diet is most important for mine

I've been diagnosed with Eczema and while I was watching the video I noticed a few things that I do regularly that you advise not to. Those include: 1. I have not eaten fruit and 95% of vegatables since I was born, I don't know the cause but I struggle with finding way to get those vitamins and or nutrients 2. I take fairly long showers but in warm water and sometimes cold, I take about 20 minutes a shower and somewhere between 3-6 showers a week 3. When drying off I have never used the patting technique when drying off I either do a standard rub or a hard press like a flexible handsaw and go back and forth. I would really like to know if any of these reasons are the cause and what I can do to manage/fix them. Thank you!

Food try to avoid seafood, eggs, eat more fruit/ vegetables. Drink more water. Wear cotton cloth to avoid irritation on skin. When I wash clothes I put one cup of dettol. Try not to scratch it even feeling disturbing with itchiness, what I do just shower body with cold water to cooling down. After 5 days my skin getting better. Everything is dry since I was a kid. It started on my lower legs and climbed up to the upper. Now it goes to my arms and to the sides of my abdomen. My hair is dry and my scalp too. It seems to spread more around my body. I'm tired of using moisturizers everyday. I'm tired of wearing pants, socks and sleeves all the time to hide them. I don't know what to do anymore. It lowers my confidence and made me hate to socialize. I can sense that my mental health has been affected so bad. What more I could do? I just need hope to clear this insecurity. I was recently diagnosed with eczema. I live in a region that has been severely impacted by the smoke and haze caused by large wildfires in northern California. My current eczema irritations exist on my scalp, hands, bicep and calf. I have very long, wavy hair. It takes at least 10 minutes just to shampoo and condition my hair. I use the coolest possible temperature of water when I shower to avoid drying my skin already since I live in a high desert climate. I typically shampoo my hair about once every 5 days, but recently have increased to every other day in an effort to remove the smoke particle irritants from my hair and scalp. What can I do to decrease the drying affects of this necessary cleansing routine?

A type of psoriasis called guttate psoriasis and tinea versicolor can look very similar. However, they have very different causes and treatments. Both guttate psoriasis and tinea versicolor cause a rash of small, red spots, which is why some people may confuse the two conditions. Get rid of Foot Corns with garlic Because it contains substances that can burn the stratum corneum kzbin.info/www/bejne/sH3Rf6mJm9mmbpY

bathing time. -before i only take shower same duration of a song, sometimes earlier before a song end 🥲 but now i tend to stay for a little longer or til 30 mins. maybe that's why i'm suffering from eczema, and also using hot water 🥲. i don't have a pcd but i already visited a dermatologist, gave me a antibiotic or an anti fungal tablet it is effective for a while but after some time it's not effective anymore. next she game me a cream, cream is expensive 🥲 but yeah it relieves my itch and still using it. but i don't want to be dependent on my cream. i need more answers. she's the one who told me that i have an atopic dermatitis after asking her if there is a relation of my allergic rhinitis to the eczema. want to be treated already this is so much pain :( scratching, yes but after i saw the patting tech i would do that from now on. i need to know more about how many fish oil i should take a day. might take a fishoil capsule 3x a day. gonna confirm that with a pcp hope everyone of us gets better with this.

Hi. Im 55 and I bought a spa about 5 years ago and loved it. I could spend 2 hours easily in it at least several times a week. Im also the type that likes taking super hot 20 minut showers at least 3 to 4 times a week. So 3 years ago, I started getting these scab like itchy soars on my lower legs, below the knees and was told by my doctor that it was caused by dry skin. I was like Huh? Dry skin? It doesnt look that dry, I said. Anyways he prescribed a cortizone based cream. It helped a bit in eliminating some of the soars but not all. Now today I have itchy soars popping up all over the place. On my upper and lower legs, my elbows and arms, back and scalp. It seems to have gotten worse since the cold season started as well.
@DoctorpediaYT
@DoctorpediaYT 3 жыл бұрын
Daniel, It does sound like dry skin from your description. As we age, our skin loses the ability to keep itself as moisturized as it did when we were young. So, it is not surprising that you are starting to have problems with excessive hot tub use. While the cortisone based cream will help take down the inflammation and therefor reduce symptoms, you are not treating the cause which is too much hot water for too long. I would recommend moisturizing multiple times a day with an over the counter moisturizer like Cerave or Cetaphil, less time in hot water, and then a repeat visit to your doctor to make sure nothing else is going on. Good luck!

There is not a 100% accurate answer to this question as people can be allergic to even the "non-allergic" dog breeds out there. However, the poodles, and the poodle mixes often are ok for many who suffer from eczema/allergies. Regardless, you should keep your pet off your furniture and out of your bedroom to minimize exposure.
