What is environmental DNA (eDNA)?

What is environmental DNA (eDNA)? How does it help us detect native and invasive species?
Every living creature leaves traces of DNA in their surrounding environment (through skin cells, and other bodily secretions), which is called eDNA. At EnviroDNA, it is our job to find it!

It seems to work! We tested the Loch Ness! But we didn’t find A plesiosaur... But we did find eels... lots of them... very big eels.

Hi! After putting the filtered samples with DNAiso Reagent, does it needs to be placed in a certain temperature during transport? Thanks!
