I had a small discrepancy I'd like to highlight, that is at 16:12 you said to hedge the investment, I'd write a call but shouldn't a write a put or short a call? If not explain why what is done with the divident ? 2) what are the charges applicable for etfs? The challenge is that for Canadian residents who are not NRIs or citizens of India the selection of ETFs that are solely investing in Indian companies (or even have more than 15% if international stocks) is rather limited. I can still learn the general concepts, but I cannot act on this information.

Hey Rachna, thank you for taking your time to explain this. You have no idea how many are left out of such valuable financial advice. I have a question in regards to ETFs, i couldn't find the answer. Its simple: - Does the capital gains and Dividends get re invested in ETFs in India? (for ex: the capital gains and dividends of UTI Nifty 50 or ICICI Nifty 50?) If so are they done automatically. - And lastly, can you withdraw dividends and capital gains from ETFs when you want to? Stay safe and thank you.

Hi Rachna, Hats off to you for your incredible knowledge sharing. Well I had a question. While the Mutual Fund Returns can vary because of stock picking how come Nifty BeEs and other Nifty ETF can vary in their return marginally ? After all they are following an index.

Because, there are tracking errors. You need to choose a ETF provider like Vanguard whose products generally tend to have minimal tracking error. Additionally, the ETF will have fees and other costs which will drag its performance. An index is an 'idealized benchmark' . The index does not include fees, costs, tax drags etc.
