You did a great job on this video. I have been to the top of Fissure 8 five times. It is one of my very favorite hikes!

Well thank you very much! This is such an overlooked amazing place. It really deserves to be protected. And you’ve done it 5 times? Wow…do you live there?

Thanks man! Yeah we really discovered this by accident. I had no idea. It was really cool to stay so close to something like this.

That was really cool, thanks for posting it. I watched the coverage of the eruption back when it happened pretty extensively but I'd wondered what it was like now.

Thank you…I can’t believe I had not heard about this place before. I knew there were some eruptions and lava flows. But typically what I saw on the media was the super slow moving kind. I had no idea about the size of this place. Thanks for watching!

Oh wow so you were right by it all? That’s so cool! I bet it was pretty terrifying not knowing just how big it was going to get. You live in a really amazing part of the world!

Yeh I’ve been there before, and I fell through the lava twice. Don’t go by yourself.

Oh wow…I bet that was brutal! Yeah that stuff is like razor blades. I fell through one section when we were there. Not bad but I fell on knee deep. It definitely took me by surprise!

@ Yeh it was like falling into broken glass. I couldn’t actually get out of it. I had to get pulled out twice
