Interesting video. It's very early to do the ewes. Would you not get away without doing them when you shear in june,if your weather is anything like ours their defo be no maggots for a while.

The problem is that I’ve had some get caught just before shearing so I just bite the bullet and do them as I’d rather not risk it now

Why have you used 14ml x 3 as the dose rate?

The main reason is because they need 40ml and 13mlx 3 isnt enough so I did 14mlx3 which is a little over

I still don’t understand why flys lay their eggs in the fleece if there’s no food for the maggots to eat. Flies usually lay eggs if there’s already a wound with dead tissue for the maggots to eat.

I know its late, but it's dead skin cells inside the thick fleece that attract the flies.
