Just think of Force as an thing that makes things move in a certain direction. We can then use numbers to measure the speed of the movement, how long it will move, how strong it moved, etc. Force is the thing that makes things move.

For a rolling ball, it is less about friction and more about a likely deformation of the ball that causes the ball to lose energy (energy is transferred to its own motion of particles) and come to a stop. Thoughts?
@GuerrasLaws
@GuerrasLaws 4 жыл бұрын
Force does not exist physically like an object with mass. Force, as we know it, turns out to be nothing more than an expression to express an idea like one would use the word "Love" to express once feelings. Force or Net Force is not the initial cause of motion. Energy (applied energy) is the origin of motion and not Force. Example: Choose an object of your choices and without applying the energy from within you, try to push and pull by applying "only" the Force or Net Force. Meaning that Energy (applied energy) is the origin of motion and not "Force". Once Energy (E) is applied, it creates what is known as Momentum (p). When this Momentum (p), which is mass and velocity, comes in contact with an object(s), it makes a surface contact that will enable you to push and pull. Energy (E) and Momentum (p) or "Ep", are not to be confused with Kinetic Energy in any way. Without Energy, there is no Momentum. Without Momentum, there is no surface contact on an object(s) to push, pull, work, shaping objects, motion, gravity, magnetism, radiation, etc. Momentum does not and cannot exist without the applied Energy that creates it. Energy and Momentum or "Ep", is the only common denominator that links all fundamental forces of nature. Without Ep, all fundamental forces of nature would be inert or non-existence. ~Guadalupe Guerra

And i basically dislike YOU. what u are saying is a very lame thing to say in the comment section of educational videos. Forta este calea si efectul transferarii miscarii de la un sistem la altul. Intotdeauna forta implica intalnirea sau interferenta a doua miscari de sensuri contrare. Forta iplica intotdeauna deosebirea de miscare ca directie intensitate si sens. Forta este data intotdeauna de produsul presiune ori suprafata F=p.S. iar presiunea este data de patratul acceleratiei. p=a^2=(l/t^2)^2=l^2/t^4; ->F=(l^2/t^4).l^2=l^4/t^4=v^4 Force is the way and effect of transferring motion from one system to another. Force always implies the meeting or interference of two movements of opposite directions. Force always implies the difference of movement as direction, intensity and meaning. The force is always given by the pressure or surface product F=p.S. and the pressure is given by the square of the acceleration. p=a^2=(l/t^2)^2=l^2/t^4; ->F=(l^2/t^4).l^2=l^4/t^4=v^4

If a ball is moving at a uniform speed of 2m/s with a net force of 0 and there is no friction, when u kick it won't it continuously accelerate?
@sunitadutta3908

Mam , what happens if the net force applied on the ball is not 0 ? What if we decrease the air resistance but dont make it negligible? Will the more gravitational force create fiction? And the ball will come to a hold?

Friction is not relevant in that example because the ball is not moving.

Excellent video, there was a misconception though (4:45). Both the kick force and the force exerted by the ball on the kicker's foot are equal. The ball simply moves because it has a lower mass than the kicker, which gets the force distributed across his leg and hips.

1:12 - How can a flat disk have a center?
@gorgeousblossom5nap938
@gorgeousblossom5nap938 4 жыл бұрын
Earth is NOT flat (Unless you r a flat earth believer) Earth is mostly round and it has a centre so when it says that gravitational force pulls the ball to the centre of the earth, then the ball remaining still(or stationary) is right! Since the core is in the middle of the earth and gravitational force is applied to every object

Right at the end, when the leg kicks the ball, you say that the ball exerts a force back onto the leg. True, there is a reaction force, though you don't explain this at all so its confusing to introduce it in the closing frames of the video. Then you say that the ball moves to the right because this reaction force, of the ball on the leg, is weaker than the force that the leg exerts on the ball. This is false. Newton's third law tells us that these forces are equal. The ball moves to the right because there is no force acting on the ball to balance the force exerted by the leg. (Remember, the reaction force is a force of the ball on the leg, it's not a force on the ball).
