What is Frame Arms?

Love the wide variety of Frame Arms designs from different designers, not limited in a frame of reference like some other franchises. I particularly like the ones that take advantage of the frame articulation for transformation, like Kongo/Izumo, the Vulture series, and Second Jive/Wibur Nine. Though my personally favorite gotta be the heavily armored Kagutsuchi.

I like the frame arms kits that are military looking mechs and blocky

I just picked up the Frame Arms kit of the EXF-10/32 Greifen: RE2, I really like the art and design of this robot, described as an underwater assault type robot. So, I guess there is no actual backstory to Frame Arms, just really cool mecha designs that all share a core body frame that various body armor shells and weapons are attached to.

So the regular kits come with an inner frame and the f.m.e don't correct?

Just picked up my first FA kit, the Kagutsuchi-Otsu Fencer - 2 in fact so ripe for customization. Is there going to be another Frame Arms Month?

If you get the full version of a particular model it includes the frame. The white FME versions shown in the video don't include the frame, so you'd have to get it separately or with another complete kit.

Idk if its just me but….. i havent seen much models of it lately but rather 30mm its taking the spot of modular mechas, for what i have seen.🤷🏻‍♂️ and honestly i like the design better than 30mm but hey…what can we do.

Probably because Kotobukiya seems to be more focused on churning out Frame Arms Girls and Megami Device kits. At least from personal experience, Koto has released quite a few FAGS and MDs this year and I already have several kits reserved for 2023 releases and reissues. Have yet to see a new Frame Arms kit tho.

the scale is odd that they are in 1/100 but are smaller than MG Gundam kits.
