After the two strokes, obviously we can hear a little bit of a slur Rob's speech. Who else finds it absolutely heartbreaking and at the same time is so grateful to still have deermeatfordinner videos coming out? Robert, THANK GOD for your recovery. Don't worry about your voice. I had open heart surgery and 2 strokes the same day in 2014 and GOD has proven himself over and over. Just wait on Him and continue to THANK HIM everyday. I too struggled with my speech, my mouth was twisted and my gait was off, but now everything is normal. Sometimes I have a little problem walking, but other than that, ALL IS WELL. LOVE you and your family. BE BLESSED and patient, you can't hurry GOD!

Pretty sure DMFD was the first KZbin channel I ever subscribed to. DMFD taught me (a Texas native, retired vet who settled on the East Coast of Florida) the majority of what I know about saltwater fishing catching, cleaning, and cooking. What’s demonstrable of the impact of DMFD’s impact on us is that my youngest son (13 y/o) was the one that told me he saw something about the medical situation. It’s not just me, DMFD is a family favorite and it’s always good clean informative content. I’m so glad you’re healing and still making content to keep us all educated and in the loop. We pray God keeps his healing touch in you as you continue to minister to the world through your KZbin platform.

You are extremely lucky to have such an amazing family, friends and support crew. Thanks for sharing such an incredible insight to what you guys consider fresh. We live very close to a fish market and is generally hard to do all the tests of what is fresh as they sit behind glass counters. I've been a massive fan for the last 4 years since a serious work accident turned our world upside down and it's been a genuinely difficult transition to what is now my new normal. I can't say thank you enough for your inspiration and zest for life. May each day make you better and stronger and I can't wait to see what's next. Cheers from the land down under.

Robert. I am 67 yrs old and 2 1/2 years post ischemic stroke (2 stokes at same time). Primarily affected left side. I can now do anything that I could do pre stroke just not as fast or precisely. I was at hospital within 30 min of first symptom and was given option of clot busting drug however it came with 6% chance of death. I declined. It has been an uphill battle that I fight every day. I am still improving but very slowly. The brain cells that controlled my movements are dead and miraculously my brain rewired itself. I have to work hard to reteach it all how to work and do that daily. Robert keep at it and don’t get discouraged. It will continue to get better. I am praying for you Brother.

Hi Robert I know you’re feeling better today on your recovery and pray you feel better and better each and every day brother. Know that life is wonderful brother and each day as you wake up give thanks to the All Mighty for giving you another day with your wife, daughters, parents, brothers, friends and fans. I’m sitting here inside a bus thinking, why did Robert had a stroke even though he’s healthy, he eats healthy, he go out hunt, fish, and do all these things and the best answer that came to mind is that you have many people who are watching you, looking up to you and admiring you. So the heavens had to put you in such situation that way whenever we see you smile and keep doing all these videos we the fans can say you know what, my situation is better than this guy but even after having that stroke he still smiling and enjoying life like stroke was nothing. Even if he has more money than I do, he still went thru stroke, hospital stay, surgery, family and friends worried and concern about him but he still giving that positive vibe. Maybe I should be doing the same thing. Even though I’m not as famous as he is, financially stable as he is, have the family and friends like he does, BUT MY HEALTH is BETTER than his health and I should be thankful for that. You had stroke because God wants you to set an example for the rest of us that even when you’re down, the only way to stand up tall is to pick yourself up and you’re showing that brother. You are not the oldest of the brothers, nor the youngest but still you had to go thru the pain because you have millions of people watching you and learning from you, so you are the chosen one just like the men in the Bible, Job, David the giant slayer, Moses, Abraham, Joseph, Samson, Jesus, etc. You go thru shits and overcome so people thru generations can tell younger generations what Robert Arrington went thru. Thank you for always sharing that good vibe to us fans brother and I know you will be fully recover cuz of the way your vibe is handling things. Keep doing these awesome videos brother and you already know we will always keep you in our prayers . Stay humble brother and slay monsters in your head. Peace

Rob, I’m straight and all, but you’re looking great, brother! 😜 Praise God for your recovery. I think how the fish is handled in the first few hours is the deciding factor for how the fish will hold up. Deermeat family is such a blessing!
