Comand To remove file and directory: rm filename //removes file rm -i filename //asks confirmation before deleting file. rm -f filename //removes file forcefully. Command to remove directory rm -fv *.txt //remove all .txt files. rm -r directory name //to remove directory and files with in completely. rmdir directory name //to delete empty file.
