I chose pile 2. This is all past tense now because I cut them off yesterday. I am the child eternal. They were the wounded child. However, we both have wounds. We just treat them differently. I don't let mine get in the way of my self-worth or my self-respect. They use theirs as a way of calling themselves damaged and undeserving, which puts us at a stalemate. That and all around they were just fucking with my head. We went from going on dates to being in something casual to being friends and now we are not in contact. They decided that even though we decided to be just friends that it was still okay to try to cuddle and Hold My Hand the last time we hung out, and I acted like nothing was wrong. I acted that way for weeks because I didn't want them knowing that I was about to disappear. they have done several things to hurt me, and this whole cuddling/ holding hands thing was the last nail in the coffin. They probably are wondering what the f*** happened because I went ghost overnight. Sometimes, it's the only thing you can do because giving an explanation means wasting your breath. I'm aware of that at some point they are probably going to try to find me and try to come back, but it's too late. The damage is done. They said they didn't want to fuck up with me and then pulled a "Seven of Swords". Stabbed me in the heart/back. And they are an avoidant, there is no other way to deal with that other than to let them have the reigns, but eight times out of 10, they aren't going to want to step up to the plate in the first place. Not until it's too late. Another chapter closed, I say, although I'll be grieving the loss of friendship for a few days...I'm better off without the confusion and without the cycle I would've kept going through. They can figure out what they did on their own, and I wish them the best.

I find this happens when people obsess over situations and their judgement becomes clouded.
