I just figured it out. Marty and Mario have worked very hard and felt like nobody appreciated them for everything they had done for everyone so they planned to steal SMG3's notebook because it might have the answer to their purpose in their lives. I could be wrong. But I see a pattern and I have a hunch.

THEORY: maybe Jerry(calling it jerry) is simply just taking all the crews most liked and secret things and using it to lure them in. like rats with the cheese trap, and maybe, Mario went inside of that bordered room.. and maybe the ''king'' that mario is referring to is Bowser.. because he's referred to as ''The King Koopa''.. but people say Jerry, and We don't know anything more from Jerry because we only know that: IT Caused the Castle breakdown IT caused a life loss Now IT caused SMG3 to have a genocidal manhunt on mario and remember that scene where One Shot Wren was sitting and sees the TV icon.. so what if.. the TV is a hidden/forgotten character and for the fact that it's getting revenge on the cast by manipulating them? And it seems to torture those feeling fear, anger, and/or hatred through proxy by manipulating their minds... but yet.. It can be Mario finally snapping out of the Crew treating him like shit and now betraying their backs 1 by 1...
