What is Going on With These JORDAN Sneakers?

Great review. Excellent topic for discussion. I believe all three reasons you stated are factors on some level. The “economy” has consumers being more selective. Utilizing the same colorways would diminish excitement (hype) for a sneaker. Consumer trust would also give anyone pause when spending $225 for a shoe. However re: the W.Y.W.S release(s) “Trust” was likely a very low or non-factor IMO. There was enthusiasm (HYPE) for these releases. I believe AMM inventory was well above the speculated numbers. Also AMM employed a unique release strategy. F.C.F.S, EQL raffle, SNKRS EA & in-store raffle. I believe these combined made it more challenging for resellers (BOTS) to eat. IG is filled with users expressing joy for successful retail cops. Thats my two cents. Hope your channel continues to grow. ✌️

I would like to see A Ma Maniere use other colors than violet ore and burgundy crush. The AMM AJ5 Dawn was a refreshing change to their design choices. Let’s hope they listen to our complaints.

Well .. regarding their “Brand” reputation I know everyone complained about shipping turnaround. It needs to be improved. Now AMM has cancelled orders in the past. I believe majority of those cancellations are from EQL’s BOT protection. That may be why this release they specified up to 10 business days for shipping. Because there were cancellations of orders for consumers who were NOT resellers. Just a thought.

Great callout! I love the whole bot protection thing but when they finally shipped my shoes, they said it took as long as it did because they "didn't have my email address". That's a load of crap because I had to put my email address in to create my account and they emailed me to let me know i was in the drawing when I entered. Yes sir. I love both of them. Very impressed. Just strange how these aren't selling at all over here in the States. Typically, 3s and 4s sell really well. Especially if it's a collaboration. A Ma Maniére is literally right up the road from me in Atlanta. I like to support their collabs when I can since they are local.

Let’s be honest, as nice as these shoes look they’re uncomfortable asf most of the time. At this point I think the reason why we’re all into the ASICS and New Balance is cuz we’re spending our money on COMFORT instead of what looks good. On Another note, we have to accept that the era of everything and people continuously fighting over sneakers is over. Exclusivity has become a serious drug in this current sneaker market. Nobody wants to buy things that everyone has the ability to purchase. To an extent I feel the same way except me I just store my kicks in the vault and bring them out years down the line when I know you won’t see that sneaker out in the streets anymore. All In All I agree with your viewpoint. Lastly majority of everything that released this year has sat on shelves, it’s pointless to even want to consider paying resell when weeks later majority of these sneakers are available on sale. Believe it or not the Black Cement 3s are gonna sit (few days not a first day sale out) and the Legend Blue 11s are gonna sit. The aura for sneakers is just not what it used to be

@@AromaKicks17 I think we’re in an era where the sneaker community is differentiating those who’s really into sneakers for the true love of it and those who got into it cuz of the 2020 Covid high resell era. If I’m being honest I think this is the perfect time to find out who really has style and who don’t. A true sneaker head in my opinion takes those so called bricks and put outfits together and make mfkas regret skipping on the hidden gems that dropped during the year lol just my two cents.

I’ve enjoyed my 3s so far and I think I agree that with the colour ways you don’t need multiple pairs of any of their shoes. I do like that now I can get shoes in stores tho…. For years I missed out on stuff I really really wanted, hype or not… purely because reselling and scarcity. Especially being a size 10 I used to go to stores and nothing was left. AMA can rebound as a brand cause they been cooking for 10 years just hitting some bumps on logistics and trust

I think you hit the nail on the head. I agree with you on the Economy. I do think there some brand issues but I think they can easily overcome that. Free Shipping on next drop, express shipping, etc. Overall I think the biggest issue they have currently is the colorway. The average consumer doesn’t need 6 shoes that are all the exact same color palette. Bring in some new colors!!

Facts. That's why i got that 5 in the Dawn colorway. It was different. I picked up the 3s and 4s because I rarely let those pass anyway since 4s are my favorite silhouette with 3s close behind. But yeah, change it up A Ma! Dang!

I agree with you… A Ma Maniere has definitely ruined their own brand. Their shoes are dope but I will never order directly from them again. It took them so long to ship my shoes i disputed the charges. On top of that their customer service is non existent! They’re definitely a trash company to do business with.

You don't hear much about damaging your brand on KZbin, but it's a real thing and it seems we both agree, it's playing a part in why these aren't as "hyped" as they were in the previous years. It’s all cyclical. Give these a few years and they will be a hot commodity again. I’m glad that the market is settling down but still $200+ for a shoe like Jordan’s is crazy. I got my first pair of Jordan’s when the original 3’s came out for 100.00 from Athletes Foot. Prices are crazy for remakes with new material.
