All BigBang members hold a Phd in Yaoiology, btw. No but seriously, it's funny how in all of their parodies, TOP is always the male lead lol. These parodies were shown in the middle of their concerts. They wanted to entertain the fans while the group was taking a break/preparing for the second half of the show. Before they had a budget for drama parodies, they would do live parodies of girl groups like SES, etc. Bigbang was really good at doing fan service. Gosh, I miss them!!!

this is their parody on a famous kdrama romance classic 'secret garden' wherein the leads swapped bodies. bigbang did a lot of other kdrama parodies and top practically kissed all his members alr except taeyang lmfao

That’s why 18:47 after G and Top switch bodies, Top kisses Seung Sky, because at this time, G is in Top’s body.😂 10:09 Top’s saying random things to distract himself so he doesn't keep thinking about G. 20:50 Daesung plays Top’s mother, a rich old lady. Many older K-dramas have scenes like that. The male lead’s mother gives money to the female lead to encourage her to leave her son.😂

Smeeeell is an original BigBang meme. All vips should know Dae as a rich old lady 😂. BigBang made these parodies and would watch them with fans before they had many songs to play at concerts and fan meets. There should be a version with their reactions floating around somewhere. Off the top of my head there are tree more. Coffee prince, Boys over flowers and Virus. The making of this one is also worth watching 😂. Any confusing parts are because it's assumed the people who attended the concert - this was for their concert bigshow 2011 - were already familiar with Secret Garden and I remember this drama from my childhood the tracksuits and the situps. Full of references to Secret Garden.

A lot of new kpop fans only watch their club songs and never get to see this funny side of Bigbang and their acting talent . GD is good as an actor but he never desired to be a profesional actor . In the 2nd gen era, creating dramas, starring idols became a trend. Idols also participated in skits for a Korean variety show (I forgot the name of the show). Anyway, I guess BIGBANG thought recreating popular Korean dramas would be good entertainment for the fans.

"Secret Garden" was a famous drama back then, so when they did a parody of it everyone knew the references to the drama scenes. Groups back then were WILD and more relaxed about the "perfect idol image" stuff. That's why a lot of Gen 1 and 2 fans say they miss those days. It was more relaxed and fun.

Secret Garden (K-Drama) heres the rundown: Kim Joo Won (JooTop) is a rich CEO, they own the shopping malls and an entertainment company. His cousin, Oska (Seungska) is also signed under that company as a famous Hallyu singer. JooTop is eccentric, unsociable and domineering. G-Raim is an orphaned poor stuntwoman, Taeyang's character is her stunt director. There was a scandal about Oska & and another actress, so JooTop goes to the filming scene to squash the rumors. There he meets G-Raim and is instantly attracted to her and gets jealous because she is a huge Oska fan. (That's why he was petty about her Oska socks). JooTop keeps fantasizing/hallucinating G-Raim, so borderline stalker mode, he applies at the stunt agency. Taeyang's character like G-Raim too, but they didn't play on that here. That sit-up scene was iconic back then, everyone was recreating it. Later, G-Raim won a prize to spend a date with Oska during his film schedule. Oska, trying to forget his first love, asks G-Raim out. JooTop rejects. So, they compete in a mountain bike race to win her affection. G-Raim bikes with them too, but she takes the wrong path and ends up lost in the woods. JooTop notices she's missing and goes to look for her. He finds out one of the path signage was incorrectly marked and finds her in a secluded part of the woods. On their way back, they both came across a "Secret Garden" a restaurant that also makes their own fruit/flower wine. The shop owner feeds them, and was each given a bottle of the wine to take home. Later on they argue (mostly because they don't see eye to eye on world views). They drink the flower wine and Freaky Friday situation happens. They can't figure out to get back into their bodies, so they both end up communicating and help each other navigate their lives until they switch back. Every time it rains, they switch bodies. So, the back&forth switching happens a couple of times. Daesung plays JooTop's mom (and his assistant) Mom is against the relationship. The rich guy/poor girl trope always have the disapproving in-laws throwing money at the poor person so they can break off the relationship. The couple work through their differences and fall in love even after finding out that G-Raim's father was a firefighter that risked his life to save JooTop from a burning building. G-Raim is filming a car chase scene, when a civilian driver decided to ignore the road blockade and cuts through causing a car accident. G-Raim ends up in a coma. JooTop, distraught, writes a love letter for her, checks the weather forecasts and takes her comatose body to where there would be rain and they both pass out in the rain. G-Raim wakes up in JooTops body and sees all that he prepared for her. JooTop eventually wakes up too, and I can't remember, I think has amnesia (cuz K-drama). He regains his memories and they get married and have 2 kids. Mom stayed disapproving to the end, but she dotes on the grandkids. Oska and his first love reunites. JooTop's assistant and G-Raim's roommate get together. Taeyang stay lonely (until he got married IRL). There's more to the story, but I already feel like I've turned in the paragraph lady.
