I only take HA for sleep. A researcher friend recommended it to me in late 2019 and ive taken it the same way since then. I take 200micrograms 30 minutes or directly before bed. It helps me stay asleep with incredible results. Felt like the first time sleeping in decades for consistent night after night of great REM. Changed my life and FIXED my insomnia. Feels like if your averaging one good REM cycle or two taking the dose at night helps you bump up to 2-3 REM cycles and there is no more waking up even if its just an internal wake up. Also doesn't aid in falling asleep much and also feels pretty refreshing to wake up from good sleep not groggy like a sleep aid. I would call it a stay deeper asleep aid.

So it doesn’t cause more lucid dreams from your experience?
@CGDive
@CGDive 2 ай бұрын
@@ChrisTuckerCarlzyn I don't think it automatically makes you lucid. If you take a higher dose you may have a lot of long dreams with good recall. Which certainly increases the chances of becoming lucid. Beware of side effects though. I just spent this morning nauseated after taking 800 mcg the night before. Dream-wise it was great though lol I think 500~600 is the sweet spot for me. I should add that I only take it occasionally. Oh, and I heard that at very high doses it may lead to something akin to a bad trip. So definitely thread carefully and test the waters with lower doses first. Interestingly Huperzine A does not affect my sleep negatively as the doctor suggested. And my sleep is not great and easily disrupted by all sorts of things.

Do the effects of HA wear off with continuous usage? Does it have to be cycled ? Should somebody with the APOE4 gene allele take higher dosages on a regular basis?

Question: is it addictive and would a person go backward to worse than one started, if spotted using it? Or does it have healing benefits for the brain. I like to do things to help the body do its own production of what's needed to be healthy. You're a great teacher & make it easy to understand. SO helpful. Keep up the good work! THANK YOU!🌞

Thank you for the kind words! From what I'm seeing in the research, huperzine a is safe and effective when taken correctly (and typically under 6 months). You should follow the dosing instructions of the one you purchase or check in with your doctor for the best dose for your needs.

Some people have an issue with the breakdown of acetylcholine and if so it can cause sleeplessness due to the stimulating effects of acetylcholine. I have heard of people having severe insomnia taking any choline supps and even twitching and nervous system agitation so you just have to experiment or run you genetics. Acetylcholine receptors are all over the body, help move muscle etc…

I have been taking 200mcg twice daily for a few months. Lately I have gone to mornings only 200mcg. The cut back is only because people seem to recommend it. It definitely makes a big ST memory difference for me, which results in improved cognition. I can tell a difference in the evening from not taking the second dose. I have been unable to find any source for what the downside is to taking the second dose, other than it just hasn't been studied and the purported buildup.
@hotdogint
@hotdogint Жыл бұрын
Theoretically speaking, hup A taken daily can simply be taken at a lower dose to avoid build up no? Assuming a 12 hour half life, day 4 is the build up mark (where accumulation approaches the limit); 200mcg builds up to 400mcg 100mcg builds up to 200mcg 50mcg builds up to 100mcg 25mcg builds up to 50mcg 400mcg builds up to 800mcg In a daily use context 50 or 100mcg is sustainable everyday use. Thoughts?

Alpha GPC is a super powerful and addictive toxic kind of choline. Avoid. Huperzine prevents the breakdown of acetylcholine and protects neurons.

15:30 A doctor that doesn't know the basics... With the half life of 12 hours, it will take 60 to 72 hours to fully eliminate the drug. "At 20 to 28 hours" period's mark, there still will be 25% from the peak plasma concentration.
