I'm wondering if the cake stand is really a dresser vanity.
@terriesikes2056 ай бұрын
I think the glass top metal item you called a cake plate is actually something that you put on your vanity and put your pretties on. My aunt had one and that’s how hers was displayed.

@treshamassey8046 ай бұрын
The “strainer” at 2:35 is for canning jams, jellies, tomato juice, etc. i still use mine. You use the wooden masher to press the juice from the fruits and vegetables, separating the pulp from the juice with strainer into a large bowl. Then heating your juice, adding sugar and sure gel before putting into jars.

@ramonamartinez70556 ай бұрын
The strainer with the wooden pin, was used to make jelly or jam or tomato sauce or applesauce. You would put the fruit in ( my mom would cook or blanch the fruit) the strainer and with the rolling pin you would mash or roll the pin around the inside of the strainer and the soft cooked fruit would strain out and leave the skin or pulp in the strainer. Then cook the strained fruit to make jam or jelly

Love it❤ That's the kind of pie safe i would love to have, and a Hoosier.. add these with my antique hutch & my step back and I would be beyond thrilled😁 One day🙏 Love all the wood pieces, utensils, and just odd pieces. Everybody finds accordian racks but me🫤 ughh i need one!! That triple brush Is cool, never seen one before.Ok my mouth is watering over those beautiful old books🤤 I have a white pottery woven basket that looks like a little Easter basket with a blue ribbon going all around it then tied in a bow.. Totally ceramic, its really pretty! Love the enamel tub! The glass top piece is for A ladies dresser or vanity to put perfumes, hair brush set, things like that on..Like the vanity trays. Love the silver swans, don't think I've seen silver ones before. Umm.. not to keen the Humpty dumpty set.. The eye👀🫣 Lorrrd.. another Level!! Girl.. Just shut the door, lock me in and bring me water, a sandwich and come back with a uhaul tomorrow!😂 Not sure what the metal piece is that looks like a hanging basket.. but it would make a cool cloche! I have one made of chicken wire, but i really love that rusty piece and I'd use it for one. Can't pick A favorite, they're all favorites! It would be a dream to shop this place! Thanks so much for sharing😊

Am I reading that right ? $4.00 for the little round mushroom frames ? (When I pause, the image always blurs a little bit) Is that an indication of reasonable prices overall ? The "rusty strainer' is for making jelly. You put the berries in the cone strainer and rotate the 'pestle' to squish out the good stuff without the seeds. That place is the dream adventure.
