Sorry, but equating the "insanity" of living a humdrum life with the actual insanity of committing horrible murders IS insane and could hardly be considered semantics. Nothing sensible or logical about that.
@valueinyou9931 Жыл бұрын
@@cryptojihadi265 You missed the entire point. He's not comparing/equating anything; he didn't say that. He's simply pointing out the very nature of insanity. And while to your point, committing horrid murders is not sensible or logical - he didn't say that either. He simply said the process we've all adopted of working ourselves to death for so little fits the very definition of insanity...and he's not only correct, but the statistics also bear him out. If you don't see his logic you are either not awake or in complete denial.

It's 2018. How the heck does this video not have more views? There is so much truth to what Buscemi is saying. He's not necessarily implying he hates his job, it's more so the rythym of the whole thing. Does no one ever, at any point during the week or day, stop and think about how repetitive all of this is? Finding a new job or career could be an answer, sure. But over time we may fall into that same process. If there were giants looking down at all of us humans, something tells me they would recognize what I'm talking about and what Buscemi is talking about.

MrWillyWonka all of existence is repetitive and cyclic. There is nothing new under the stars. Change your job a million times and every time you will fall into a routine. Even if your routine is doing something exciting and flying around the world you will still fall into a routine. Finding a routine you enjoy doing daily is a great way to find peace in this world. I drink my coffee and set on my balcony and watch the natural world move around me. I set and I think and maybe I read from some of the books I own. That is my life. That is my eternity. The script appears to be a dialogue between two individuals discussing the nature of murders committed by infamous serial killers like Dahmer, Gacy, and Bundy. One person suggests that these murderers committed their crimes out of excitement, not necessity. The other person argues that they were insane, but the first person counters with the idea that insanity can also be seen in living a monotonous and unfulfilling life working in an office for many years and ending up in a retirement village, hoping for a swift death. The conversation explores the concept of insanity from different perspectives and challenges traditional notions of what it means to be "insane."

Instead live a minimal life of necessity pursuing the one or two things you're truly passionate about and get very good at both of them.
