I’d like to suggest you discuss what it means to have IDC - no specific type (NST). That was my diagnosis. It was accompanied with DCIS - with the solid papillary type you covered in this video. Thank you!

IDC with no other description is the most common type of infiltrating ductal carcinoma. Most breast cancer are this type.

I would like to know what a cribriform, papillary, and microinvasive micropapillary tumor tend to produce in terms of speed of growth, lymph node metastasis and recurrence rates, and prognosis.

These types of breast cancer tend to be strongly positive for the estrogen receptor, are generally slower in growth, and have an excellent prognosis.

I have got a mastectomy done for in situ papillary carcinoma with micro invasion ( .5 mm). I am ER and PR positive. Am 69 years old with psoriatic arthritis history kept in check with natural treatments ( no medication). Is hormone therapy really needed for my case? Can the side effects really be worth it for prevention of reuccerance? Can I just keep monitoring it with efficient lifestyle management? I would love to hear your expert opinion

While we cannot provide a specific opinion in your case since we are not part of your team, it's important to understand why this medication is being recommended. For purely in situ cancers, endocrine therapy can decrease the risk of a recurrence in the breast but will not improve survival. Making sure you know the benefits in your particular case will be an important thing for your doctor to do.
