I am busy applying mosaics to my entire pool it looks great so far. The only problem that I have encountered is that due to the uneven wall, this creates a progressive error and the mosaics dont line up. But I will live with it. The only thing I am doing different using a rough mosaic on the steps. I am just worried someone slips and injures themselves.

its true they dont use plaster here in Europe, its all tiles (mostly plastic). It migh be more expensive but it will last you a lifetime

Hello. I have some glass tiles in my swimming pool that fell off. Would like to ask you what is the best material to use to “glue” the glass tiles back on? Epoxide? Mastic sealant? Tile mortar? Thank you

I use Gorilla glue construction glue. It's held through 4 seasons of northeast winters so far.

I do pool remodels for a living and I always sell a regular plaster finish because it's cheaper for the customer. I would definitely charge more for an all tile pool. Probably 33-66% more and maybe some cases 200%.

@@mmyu4142 in South Florida right now, wetedge is becoming increasingly popular. Much more expensive but superior above all current finishes. Lifetime warranty. Custom mixed on site so each finish is unique and their beautiful. Other regions are different

Hi mike is glass tile slippery for walking on? I have a project and have several pallets of glass tile with mesh (like for backsplash) not sure if it’s ok for pool.

Gil Ramirez hi I’m a Brit but live in northern Portugal. Our pool is ?cement and is painted ! It starts flaking from the first year. We are planning and saving to have it tiled with the small glass tile you see in this pool. Now I’m no expert but here we have two types of glass tile - smooth and rough. We had my father in law’s ensuite walk-in shower room tiled in the rough kind. They feel kind of like a little sand is on them. For walking on out of a pool I would definitely use the rough ones. Some folk use rough ones on the bottom of pool but I don’t know anyone personally who has that or how that affects the cleaning etc. We are looking into paying out for the mastic/epoxy type grout that is more expensive but is touted to last longer. Not sure hoe Mike Farley feels about that?
