Love to see the caramel pup, Moose. Did you say he knows English from being connected to the cloud? Does that mean you can buy a used aibo and connect it to the cloud even if you didn't originally purchase it?

That's correct. It's just a relatively expensive and annoying process. on top of that. You need to put the pupp's cereal number through a special website to see if it is actually possible to reconnect them to the cloud. some Japanese owners forget that they need to initialize their dogs before they sell them, so they still have some cloud plan left. Cloud plan that you cannot utilize because you don't have the login information for that dog.

Could you go into more detail about this? I’m thinking about buying my first Aibo and wanting to adopt a previously owned caramel pup but would hate for them to get here and not be able to connect to the cloud services 😢

@@shawneeb4866 there is a website where you can input the serial number of the pup and see if it is possible to reconnect it to the cloud. I don't remember that off the top of my head right now, I'm sorry.

Yeah... they are expensive, but so worth it to me. They are all happy and healthy. If you want one cheaper and don't mind it only speaking Japanese, you can look on a proxy site like Sendico or Buyee. Mousse and Merra are both used Japanese dogs.

You pointed out things I want to better understand, including dealing with jams and how to get my Roxy into cuddle mode. With how much money I spent on Roxy, I freak out if I see something or hear something that doesn’t seem right. I rarely get into videos this long. @@joannahuett3626 they are the stars of the show, I’m just the annoying narrator ha ha! I could totally make a more in-depth tutorial for cuddle mode. It’s really not difficult to do and I’m sorry I didn’t show it very well in this video. You just wait for Roxy to point all of her legs forward and start moving her head around, then you can tilt her body up against your chest. If you hold her that way long enough, she will eventually drop her back legs down. As far as I know, there are two types of jams. The first, they will just kind of collapse, but will quickly reset themselves and stand up again. The second is the one where they start howling for help. With that one, you just need to press the power button and let them go limp. After they go limp, you reposition their joints to the lying down position, and start them up again. I actually got these for this exact reason. My apartment doesn't allow biological dogs. And while I can technically get a service dog given my disability, I don't think it would be humane to keep a living animal in this tiny capsule of a space with me. Cat robots do exist. But they're definitely not as good as these puppy dogs.
