You should! I've been there for 7 years, and I've been all over the place. I can send you incredible locations that even locals might not recognize. Send me an E-mail

0:16 Seoung Ang Kil (in Cheongju). I've been there so many times. I lived in Jeungpyeong when I was there. I lived with my Korean-American friend. He wanted someone to hang out with him since he came to the US when he was young. My parents had passed away so i wanted to get away for a while...so I went with him and we had a great time....though everyone spoke Engliah to me so I didn't leach much more Korean than I had learned before I left the US. 3:03 That should be the wall located just outside of Cheongju (North East of the city). If you go past that location, you will be in Jeungpyeong in approx 10-15 minutes. I've walked the entire wall. There is a fresh spring that is available to drink from, if you can find it. It has a faucet, so it was drilled....not a free flowing spring.

Thanks for this. I’m strolling down memory lane today, trying to find all the places I lived abroad. Cheongju was the first city I lived in, back in 2008. Had a similar experience to yours - also lived in an area with no other foreigners - big shock to your senses when you understand nothing and know nothing and no one. But I eventually made friends and had a wonderful time.

You're welcome, I'm glad the video helped. A key tip: make sure to visit on Facebook a group called: "What's going on in Cheongju". It's Cheongju's foreign community group. You can ask anything in there and you'll get instant answers. They also share info about job opportunities, events, and night life. Good luck!

@RaedAlibi

Moving around with buses in Cheongju is very convenient and fast. There are a lot of malls too. High class malls. Also there are cheap rentable electric scooters that you can rent using just an app anytime and anywhere around the city.

Cheongju the 13th biggest city in south korea and has a poplation of almost 1million people but you call it a small city
@RaedAlibi
@RaedAlibi 3 жыл бұрын
By Korean city standards it is! I was comparing it to cities like Seoul and Busan in the video, that's why I called it small, cz comparing to other cities in Korea, Cheongju is relatively small.

Hi, how dis you enrolled in a university in Cheongju?
@RaedAlibi
@RaedAlibi 2 жыл бұрын
I enrolled the international language program then applied after finishing it. You can always reach the professors for scholarships or admission via their website. They have all the information you need including Email addresses and phone numbers to talk to professors directly. Korean government pays extra money for professors who recruit students through a scholarship, so it's pretty easy to get in touch with your favorite professor because It's a win win situation. :)
