@@erikamendoza4080 I am am associate the orientation was pretty much simple make sure you bring your account and routing number 😉 if you are direct deposit I forgot mine. I mostly stand at the fitting room which is my favorite some people don't like it but I do because I just stand and greet people also if you are a minor bring your signed work permit. I had to get it signed by them then my school then parents If you don't bring that paper the manager will turn you around and ask you to come later. But I believe you will be just fine. 🙂

Next week will be my 2nd week working there. They gave me the schedule I'll be doing for this month and I'm worried for working til closing time(10 pm) and idk if managers are willing to change the schedule cause I live with my family and my mom works at night shift from 10pm to 6am(she leaves at 9pm) and sadly we only have one car. So idk if Marshalls can be able to change my schedule. I don't mind working from morning to afternoon.

Hey man thx again for this video. I had my interview yesterday me and the store manager dan had quite alot in common it was very laid back at the Marshalls near me it's like 5-10 minutes from my place (I live alone) but yea man he gave me a tour of the store and introduced me to most of the morning crew, because the interview was supposed to be at 3pm but he changed it to 10am. he was like: your so knowledgeable we could start you right now I'm like ikr lol...but we can't because I have to do the fill out the application first then go back when he calls me for a second interview to meet the assistant manager and the hr manager who has to meet me, then we couldn't come to an agreement on days and hrs but we have a tentative schedule of: mon-wed 1-5pm and Thursday morning 6-11 he said before I came to meet him (we were in the back room at this point) he said look we had 12 pallets of stuff and there was still 2 pallets stacked up high I'm like yea I see that !!

Pretty sure it is because of the holidays. It gets crazy. I remember working full time for the holidays. or close to it like 35 hrs max. I would say take advantage. It should go back to normal once the holiday season ends. unless the Marshalls in understaffed.

I have my second interview tomorrow and I like Marshalls because the store I will (hopefully, be working at) has the Homegoods section and I really like Homegoods so hopefully, I get to work that section one day. Do you have any tips on what to answer? Lol, I had a phone interview the other day but apparently, there are three interviews so I am on the next one. and damn you getting 19hr? They offer me an hourly rate of 10 dollars less but I haven't been working since the pandemic so I would take it for now.

Every store is different with their hiring procedure I guess, I had two interviews. They asked how well I work with others, and I gave them examples like being part of painting a community mural. Be friendly, well mannered, dress nice for your interview like a polo. Some stores just hire who they can, others want people that seem responsible and are in it for the long run, and can work well with other, and can put up with costumers lol. hey brian what's up? matt here from nor cali it's been a crazy few yrs i had to stop working in 2015 (after my first plane ride to vegas caused me to have seizures and a brain tumor) i would love to work 40 hrs because that would be more money but since my health problems started 5 yrs ago i can't because i have to see my team drs pretty often :( a job recruiter has been helping me since nov i even went to the main office of goodwill in fremont ca (im a former thrift store assistant mgr) but they can't work around my schedule they said...we can't help you with that you have to work night and day even though the online ad says we offer flexabile hrs (i knew they would be crap jerks to work for right away because my very first job in the 90's was safeway) they make you work so much with almost no days off so anyways the job recruiter texed and met with me today about a possible job man i ran got in my vehicle and drove 5 mins to meet him at starbucks to talk about it. he's knows the mgr and people he helped in the past get jobs there too, so he's like they are looking for someone with your type of skills he and i together will talk to marshells on monday and if that goes well then i'll need to be dressed for a interview i can do everything else you were doing (yes you were like: have to clean up this kids stuff...lol so what im a big kid (btw did you buy the polor express item?) i hope so i love that movie haha, now what was i saying???oh right i can price items, work in the back room, and taking stuff from the boxes to put on display, do go backs, EXCEPT...be a big time cashier like you (i have to say im not proud of not listening to my math teachers growing up like i should have) but if i get hired and if i end up only being known as matt the merchandiser then im cool with that i was actually looking for a review but then i found your video which helped a little p.s. when you showed your co-workers on camera i noticed that it looks like you guys are allowed to wear whatever you want on the job (we let our staff do that when i was help running the thrift store) which was cool i love wearing shorts and a t shirt all the time, im warm blooded my friends and family and everyone else are like: im cold but me im just like WHAT? nope im always hot !!

I think the truck driver unloads the pallets from the truck, the stock room workers either hang clothes and organize per department, or they take apart pallets and organize the boxes between the different departments. Home, toys, electronics/ men's accessories (clothes is divided between: men's, women's, kids) ......... and where I worked the truck didn't get there till like 3pm so no one would work that early. people would come in like at 9 before opening.

back then anywhere from 4 to 22 hours (during non holiday) but during the holidays it can go up to 33hours. The managers, worked with our student schedule. If a person requested more hours then they would have to be an efficient worker. Usually everyone was part time, just a few were full time employees, like supervisors, managers, leads, people who opened or closed

yes, just apply for cashiering, sometimes they hire based on what they need, but if they see that you have strong communication skills (getting people to sign up for their credit card) they would move you to cashiering.

I'd recommend working in the stock room, because you don't have to pick up after people (that really stressed me out) or have your area clean by the end of the night (don't get closing shifts) ... working in the stock room you can process merchandise, so clothes or shoes, which is more repetitive and less stressful. Depends how much you're responsible for. Men's department was a lot to handle... All mens clothing, all toys, all kids: boys, girls and toddlers, and the hub which was hats, electronics, cases, mens underwear, belts... so all that I had to keep clean, they wanted me to push out merchandise from the back, sometimes I'd be back up cashier, I had to do go backs from the front and fitting room.....its a lot of walking.....and during the holiday season it can get messy....but every store is different.....

Surprised your Los prevention detective is allowing you to video , when I was L.P. At Marshall’s you would not be able to do that . My boss would have me take you for time fraud. Just sayin things might be different now ,because we didn’t have phone cameras then , but we had plenty of cameras in the store to make a case . Be smart man work means work do your job and when things are caught up then slow down and talk but filming unless it’s been cleared by mgt and lp I wouldn’t do it. Good luck.
