They are giving Schiaparelli vibes. I have been eyeing the Schiaparelli’s boots and shoes, but not anymore…lol! I would love to join you in Italy next year. 01:01 Yes! Yes! Yes! I love mens wear and the dapper or bespoke look. I follow quite a bit of the men in this area of fashion. I have a Pinterest board dedicated to it and the second you mentioned Florence, I knew it was Pitti. I stalk Instagram more around Pitti than I do for all the other fashion weeks. There's a few Japanese, Turkish, and Taiwanese creators/brands I'll be keeping a look out for. I'm hoping to see the silver foxes from the states too of course 😍😊🤗😉 I got interested in menswear several years ago when I read an article on The Dandy Men of the Congo or Les Sapeurs (Société des Ambianceurs et des Personnes Élégantes [SAPE]). Their story and zest for life so enthralled me that I had to dig deeper. It reminded me of the Malcolm X movie I had seen years back. Then I learned about the Zoot suit era in America. The rabbit hole that one article led me down was eye opening to a history I had no real idea about as I'm not from the US. I love a good Seersucker fabric suits; especially in green or blue and to have it stripped is perfection. I'm also obsessed with Guayabera, having lived in Miami for some years. I miss men dressing with that sort of style and that's why I love Pitti and the resurgence I see on social media; moreover for black boys and men. I want to learn more about the dashiki as it's something I grow up seeing in the islands and I'm noticing a lot of it more and more which is probably due to Nigerian and other places influence. On the wool suit, I wonder how it would look styled with both flowers on the upper arms? Thank you for another wonderful video and I can't wait to see photos from Italy and Pitti. 🌺😘

And (pun intended) suits my personality. I find menswear incredibly versatile, clean, and tidy but still fun and dapper.🥰 As for Itlay's Pitti Uomo, it's been in existence since 1972! And though I've been to Italy dozens of times in a music/performance capacity, this will be my very first outing in a style/fashion capacity. Needless to say, I'm super excited! Speaking of Turkey, my daughter and I visited in 2012...what an experience that was! Will save the story for a coming episodes. Culturally Italians are really big on proper fit and tailoring. Oversized, ill fitting clothing isn’t the norm.

Good question... Has to do with precisely what I discuss in this episode. Precise tailoring and close fit. They truly dislike clothing that hangs off of the body. They see it as tacky and unserious, not smart.🥰😉
