You are saying JWT is only for authorization purpose NOT Authentication.. But JWT can indeed be used for BOTH authentication and authorization, depending on how they are implemented in a system.

the server decrypts the secret key and generate than the hash, than the server compares the hash to check if its the same ritght? but than the server still has to store the hashes?

The server doesnot need to store the hash, as it generates the hash based on the 1st 2 sections of JWT token and then compare the generated hash with the 3rd section of JWT token

The main thing is this only , server is not storing anything like it did in the case of session management. That's the main thing , no need to store anything on server.

jwt is just specification, what explained above is one of it most famous implementation that is JWS.
