A big cat wouldn’t kill then leave their pray to rot it would drag or carry it’s prize to a place where it can eat and store it’s meal without being disturbed. Someone is killing these deer and badgers and dumping them and a fox is dragging them away. I’ve hunted for years and seen foxes pull rabbits out of snares and snap the cable holding the rabbit. I’ve seen foxes pull chickens through fences that chickens can’t fit through. A fox is plenty strong enough to drag them deer away so if it was me doing this video I would invest in a trail cam and hide it for a couple of months and you will catch your culprit and maybe get a reg plate. Big cats suffocate their prey they don’t break legs. Good luck with your investigation and I hope you catch whatever or whoever is doing this.

Big cats often kill by suffocation, drag prey into a gulley such as this and come back to it when they are hungry. Quite often they will eat from the back end first as it tends to be softer. Could you put up a trail cam that will take a picture/ film when anything walks in front of it 👍

One thing that could have been worrying the birds is an owl. But normally that would only be one or two. I used to travel from the North East to South but I used A&B roads to get to the motorway in the early hours of the morning and frequently saw wildlife and domestic pets with their eyes reflecting back at me but one time I saw these eyes in the distance but the animal I couldn't see just its eyes and expected as normal it would get spooked and head off but this just seemed to stand there as I got closer I started breaking and when it came into view and it looked like a large cat, I suppose it was the size of what another has said a labrador but it was longer in length and it just popped over a hedge like no big deal. I couldn't believe what I saw, I actually turned the car around or across the road to shine lights across the field to see if I could see it but there was no sign but I wasn't about to get out for a closer inspection, totally flabbergasted I drove on meeting the motorway and there was a garage just before where I used to grab a coffee and fuel up and I walked inside and chatted a bit and two cops came in I first thought "say nothing they will think your mad" but I knew I had seen a large cat that was not native to this country and thought what if it went for a kid so I blurted it out. I said to one cop here mate this is going to sound nuts I'm driving and I'll take a breathalyser if you want but I've just seen something and promise I'm not making it up and told him about it, he never interrupted me and just stood and listened and I was looking and thinking get ready for the cuff's lol he thinks I'm mad and then shock horror he said yeh there are a few people seen it like it was normal I looked to his right the other cop was paying attention and he said yeh it's there I haven't seen it myself but you can tell they saw it, I was stunned that it was well known, I was actually questioning myself if I had really seen it I did at the time look on the net to try and work out what it was and would say at best guess about the size of a puma but its face looked a little bit more fury.

I found a dead deer in a part of my local park that hardly anyone goes to because it's away from all the walking tracks. Something had been eating its guts. A day or two later I wanted to show it to my nephew who was quite young at the time but it was gone when we got there. I know if a deer is killed and the body is beside the road, it will not stay there for long at all (someone always takes them for the meat). I'm not sure why someone would take a rotting deer, unless parts of the deer are still good to eat and are not spoiled. The roadkill deer beside the roads are always fresh when they are taken by someone.

I was stood directly over the line on an old pack horse bridge, it was just dropping dark, out of sheer curiosity I leaned over the side of the bridge when directly below me, walked out an Alsatian sized sandy coloured, long tailed cat. It walked along the line, stopped, looked back then leaped from the track at least 3 metres onto the opposite bank with ease and disappeared. I am absolutely convinced at what I saw, there are large cats living in the UK. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Hi Paul, having had a couple of cat sightings myself in the past and the possible aftermath of cat kills I would say the deer you have found are likely not cat kills they do look like they may have either been killed by other means and bodies dumped or something scared them and they have inadvertently killed themselves in running the backside being eaten in one could be from other animals - cats can also climb trees and lie in wait up trees - but they are fairly timid creatures and don't generally attack humans - the cat kills I have seen showed the carcasses are generally stripped of flesh leaving the bones behind

@lawrencemartin1113Ай бұрын
My guess, as a shooter and deer stalker, and as this seems to be a location to dump stuff, and is accessible by vehicle, the deer are being shot elsewhere and dumped later on. Without very close inspection of the carcasses, you would potentially find it very hard to detect any wound. Also, if they are being shot with an illegal caliber rifle, the entry wound may be near invisible with no exit wound either. If a predator was killing deer, it would kill one at a time and consume a lot of it at the time, or possibly cache it for later. Excessive killing and just leaving the carcass is just totally out of character for any large predator and regardless of the stories and alleged 'sightings' is just so fantastic as to be almost impossible as the culprit. Much more likely a human killing and dumping. Why? Well perhaps they enjoy the shooting and stalking but don't have the skill or care about gralloching and processing the venison. A waste, and highly irresponsible, but we are not short on deer in the UK. Likewise, the Badgers and foxes are likely to be killed by humans and dumped. Nothing odd or supernatural to it I am afraid, just good old human behaviour. By the way.....was that your black briefcase in the undergrowth at the top of that gully in the first part of the video when you were checking you had car keys and phone and dog etc? If you look at the undergrowth to the left of the gully, just off the road, as the camera pans round, there is a black briefcase style bag standing there with the handle clearly visible. 🤔

The top of the slope is a perfect stopping point for a vehicle and you can then see how the animals have been thrown or slid down the slope into the gully, smaller animals possibly foxes etc have then predated the bodies.

That woman most likely startled a deer as they snort. I think the deer are most likely dying from falls after being chased by people or running away after being startled by people, cars, badgers or foxes etc. Young deer often break their legs jumping from heights when scared and this can happen when running in packs. Obviously being hit by a car is also likely or a bike etc. It’s certainly not being hunted and killed by big cats as there’s zero evidence on the bodies of the ones shown to suggest that. A wild cat panther lynx etc bite hard onto the neck of prey and it’s very easy to spot. It seems the ravines are just hot spots for them running down while scared and getting injured then dying to the elements.

Hi Paul, did the Deer have any visible gun shot wounds? It is bizarre that a hunter didn't take it home but 3 dumped there a few months back is strange! Would a cat kill 3? Very intriguing indeed.

Nothing visible. I did not disturb/move any of them to find out either.

Very interesting over my way in Wigan I investigated cat sightings on some of your videos you talk about fox killing in 2011 I found a few dead foxes late summer and it was around this time I had a very close encounter with a big black cat when out on an evening run

I think you will need trail cameras 📸

That’s definitely very concerning all those deer been found dead in there and that lady heard something I’ve told you before Paul that I saw a fully grown black leopard in malton years ago but I was 1 million percent certain what I saw you can’t get it mixed up with anything else in UK unless you’re stupid and I ain’t so I believe you all the way

The grunting horse snorting sound that Louise heard has been described by others who've had Dogman/Werewolf encounters. Just sayin. Listened to way too many of these personal accounts on Dogman Encounters😳

Animals die every day in the wild nothing strange about that fox will often start eating from backend because it’s easy access

Where is this figure that was apparently behind him? Can someone help me to spot it? 😅
@herenow2895Ай бұрын
I reckon it was a black figure sort of shape right back down the lane. It gradually went out of view as he carried on walking.

Surely if it is a wild cat they usually only kill one and will have there fill as they only normally kill for food , lions are a good example, once full they can’t be bothered to kill just for nothing?
@woodenfossil1974Ай бұрын
Mindless people killing deer with bows with no intention to process the kill for venison. Just killing for the sake of killing. Seen a fair bit round here. Very sad.

I’m certain I can hear a ‘big cat’ growl at 2:20. Did you hear anything Paul? Can anyone else hear anything? I’m likely mistaken. Turn the volume up.

Paul has said he heard a growl, I will see if he is going to play where he heard it.

Hi at time stamp 9:03 just after where you say "I don't know about you", you have picked up what actually sounds like an animal growl. Quite clear with out head phones but much clearer with them

I suspect the fourth deer to be roadkill. Speedbumps don't stop some idiots on the road late at night. The other three deer being eaten from the backend? Don't foxes scavenge sheep carcasses starting at the tail as it's the softest part? I live in Weardale, Co Durham and we've had our share of big cat sightings over many decades. All the best with the search for answers.
