Just fyi, in English we say "would you date me?" We never say "to date with..." Just "someone is dating someone"

Do you have advice for older, long-distance friends (Japan - UK), one of whom wants to make kokuhaku?
@NeKa.. Жыл бұрын
What is it like in my part of the world (i.e London, UK)? The word 'like' is too casual to carry much weight in love-interest, I suppose. So if someone says "Oh! I like you ...' won't even make me blink. It won't be abnormal to be in a monotonous 'relationship' (physical, emotional, mental, and social) with someone for 5-7 or more years without any mutual confession of love. However, 'no confession' does bring certain insecurities because the fact is you should be sure enough to be vocal about your love.

Kokuhaku is not a japan only thing. Some countries in Asia also have the same "kokuhaku" culture.

For me, kokuhaku is an unhappy word. It destroys friendship.

why?

If a rejection of one's kokuhaku by a close friend happens, will it also mean the loss of the close friendship?
