I remember when the creepypasta of this was big, it was the first I'd thought about Lavender Town in quite a few years. Funny how the reality turned out to be really mundane, the real "lavender town syndrome" was that some kids got headaches due to having sensitive ears. And the infamous "lavender town tones" (the ringing) in the original Red and Green are 8kHZ, 11kHZ, and 14kHZ, with all being audible to the average person mid-40s and younger, and the first two being audible to most people, even senior citizens. It gave me a real lesson on how powerful the power of suggestion is and how easily I could use that to my advantage to create atmospheric Halloween settings.

He said it was just the Lavender Town song. I was convinced something was wrong, that it sounds like a creepy Jigglypuff, until I went back to Lavender Town and said, "See?" I actually can still hear all of these frequencies as an adult. I have much better ears than most people though, and very poor eyesight. The most those high frequencies ever did to me is bother my ears a little bit if blasting it at maximum volume through headphones. It's completely fine if I turn it down a notch, and this is probably my favorite pokemon melody ever. I can actually lull myself to sleep with this.
