Day one of Lyft Extra Comfort! but then the reality set in day 2 Extra Comfort is terrible. usually somewhere between 25-30 dollar an hour rate.

It's Lyft Lux renamed with a pay reduction. Extra Comfort is the way for Lyft to get nicer cars giving regular Lyft rides. Supposedly it pays 10% higher than regular Lyft rides. I've done my analysis and although the pay is often 10% higher than a regular Lyft ride, it's not in reality because Lyft has also dropped the pay on regular Lyft rides. This is what we get with upfront pay. It's all manipulation. The lesson hear for all drivers should be to not go out and buy a car to do ride share at any level. You can make a lot more money at a minimum wage job.

as of yesterday here in LA they added the extra comfort rides but all mixed with regular rides no option to do comfort by itself anymore .. at least here in LA they ruined everything .

Unfortunately, if you don't have access to higher platforms, it appears you only can choose all ride types except shared which forces you to see lift and extra comfort rides. I can understand why that would be frustrating, especially if the new ride type isn't paying you enough or you would like to only see comfort instead of seeing standard Lyft rides. Especially if you used to have access to Lux

I live in SF and they are charging passengers less for Extra Comfort them Standard, they have partnership with The Social Work department this means you driver who do Comfort will drive bunch of sick homeless

Considering most rides were moving into lux when it was for medical, I am not surprised.

Here in Mass they fucked us in mass! Difference between comfort and lux is about a dollar.

Yep most of the rides I have seen from the rider app it is a joke how close the customer pays in comparison sometimes comfort cost less than lyft.

I’m a lux and xl driver with Lyft driving VW atlas. Today in dc metropolitan I’ve received hundreds of comfort request I only accepted one because I was going home after being sick of it ! The pay is $1.30 sometimes $1.20 the passenger I pick up he said he requested the regular left i’m very confused i’m very upset all I’m thinking about is looking for another job now :(

I completely understand many people are saying that Lyft rides that are being ignored are being "upgraded" to Lyft extra comfort. I am very disappointed with the pricing the first day it was great but the second day they dropped the rates.

Don’t even do 1 ride, Comfort is the Preferred, only 1 or 2 Dollars extra, David knows so many Drivers bought new cars to do Lux and because Lyft are facing shortages of drivers they convert Lux to Comfort. That guy is insane, should be at least 5 dollars plus!

Lyft extra comfort has hit the market yesterday, when I first received the extra comfort on Lyft, the minimum was like 4 something, the pay decrease is worse than I imagined, not the answer to that is not worth it at all, the pay is almost equivalent to regular Lyft, I don’t consider Extra comfort a premium fair since the pay is not the similar as lux and the pay is absolute garbage!! D: I’m very furious about this they had to replace lux with extra comfort due to l low demand as they say, which is totally bullshit! 😢 I sometimes get back to backlux rides and make decent money of it off of it, it sucks they had to take that away, it’s just unfair to the drivers and it’s fair to the passengers, I can’t make money with these extra comfort rides, I drive a 2021 Chevy suburban,it qualifies black fairs to and Lyft black is insanely difficult to get in my market, ps I live in Jacksonville FL

I have a 2017 tesla model S which was using for lux only and now it dont qualify for extra comfort but a sentra and corolla does thats something

I hope you at least have the free charging with that 2017 model. S. It's crazy to think that your 2017 does not qualify for this platform. Like I said, more strict requirements than Lux

@@UnbrokenDriver I do! But still no chance of driving for 50 cents a mile which is about what standard rides are in Florida. Uber has better rates but with such saturated market and needing to cherry pick can go long stretches without rides

I drive a Lincoln Aviator, and was doing Lux and Lux Black exclusively. Now, though I qualify for Extra Comfort, I find the fare is slightly less than Lux. I doubt this is passed on to the rider. It’s just undercutting the driver’s share. It’s about the same as Uber Comfort which was always lower than Lyft Lux.

I think Lyft sucks. I drived for a week and Lyft customers don’t tip and I got one ride extra comfort and the Passenger the tip either.

I'm expecting a class action lawsuit from this move. Zimmer is a clueless idjit who knows nothing about how to run a business. When Uber silently killed Select category they still let grandfathered drivers keep it and refused new drivers from joining in. Extra confort bs is definitely NOT the same with Lux whatsoever in terns of earnings. $30 a month (WTF) "extra compensation" isn't gonna cut when I'm investing tens of thousands of dollars onto Lyft's platform to run a luxury vehicle business. If LYFT is deciding to willy nilly cancel a tier I'm providing for, without even giving me proper time to adjust my business accordingly, LYFT has to PAY for all my financial hardship and damages!

It is very possible I have been hearing about some people threatening to sue. It sure is not. The first day we were shocked with the rates they were great. but one day later 25-30 dollar an hour rate comes in I would be really happy for you if you can make that stick and get paid..
